- In this episode, I bring you an American family of six @AfricaEverAfter who left the United States of America and relocated to UGANDA.
Mr. Julius and his wife Zara started a successful meat processing company Ubora Safi, Which specializes in making American style sausages in Kampala the capital city of UGANDA and so far things are moving pretty smoothly for them.

Brain drain is a big challenge to the continent! They wont let you leave, giving you bigger contract offers if you are a professional
As a ugandan who Studied and worked as a professional semiconductor engineer for 11yrs, when they heard of my decision to return home, i got a crazy contract offer double my current contract. Im happy that i made the right decision to not accept it and return home to add a stone on building motherland technologically. Currently running a tech start up!
Welcome home guys so happy for you as well
The Grass always look green on the other side but when you get over there you find out it’s artificial turf
AfricaEverAfter are my family, & I am in the Tech industry here in the US. Considering the move as well.
I'd be interested in possibly connecting when I visit in October.
Share link of your start up please.
@@biglj03 Uganda welcomes you
Tired of Kyeyo leaving December stress and depression is too much.Home remains home nothing is beautiful like motherland
May God bless you
Me I am in Germany 🇩🇪 it's been 6 months but loneliness and depression is real 😔 I want to go back home so bad and start small business while thinking big .
Indeed depression is serious
Do you have anything in mind that you planning to do ? In terms of business.
Thanks brother Ug for these stories they keep us strong and moving as we plan for our exit.Hope to share my story when I'm back.
Coming back to my motherland will never leave again loneliness, stress and depression one starts screaming, crying like a child Jesus
I love how she said, leave for a second, go learn, make that money, save it and invest it back home .
Africa make use of these returnees skills. They may wish to give a few hours weekly lessons to help. The above gentlman was a fireman, something that could be useful in some areas.
Absolutely 💯
Okay guys if you are a ugandan living in america planning to go back like me i have been thinking of this for a long time let's come together and buy land and build uganda's biggest entertainment place where you will find movie theaters, bowling, swimming pools, malls, go cart racing, restaurants, dirt bike racing, indoor minigolf, playground for the and etcetera. I feel like if we ugandan diaspora were to invest in something like this many people from all over the world will start to relocate to uganda.
What do you guys think?
Remember truly africa is the future the only continent you get to eat real food and fruits not fake food like america has
Please do I'm born in uk but from UG and I'm.looking to go back and start a business
This is beautiful especially for many of us who have missed the dv lottery, seems we are running away from Uganda when thousands are dreaming of coming here. Let me be re-orienting my mind. And to all that are coming, we dearly welcome you. 🇺🇬
I pray Africans we gladly recieve African-Americans (our brothers & sisters) who desire to come invest in Africa
Yeah, right.
This is a nice video❤ I been a supporter and follower of this Africa Ever After family since they arrived in Uganda 🇺🇬
Woow! Thanks for the support
These brothers and sisters of ours should be naturalized to be citizens. They come with capital to invest and add value. They are very useful people not to just Uganda but the entire Africa. Value addition to our produce is ideal.
Well said Nelson
You are so welcome brother and sister just feel at home
Africa has to build the infrastructure that is conducive to operating a business, poor power and transportation infrastructure can drive people away.
Good experience. We want more people to come back to motherland and we develop together
Well said brother
Lawrence please tell them that house rent in Uganda deepends on location. They can get a decent house on a reasonable budget in some areas yet other areas are very expensive. They can also buy land and build the house under their company name or even just buy an already finished house on a low budget. They dont have to live on a very high budget especially if they are to stay long in Uganda. The very expensive homes are meant for people that want to stay for just a few months.
True, they can buy land in a decent area for about 25000 usd and build a nice house for about 50k. They will reduce the living costs by so much and the house will gain value as time goes on. Uganda doesn’t have to be expensive if you do away with some bills.
Thank y'all for the advice
this is a great video and i like their opinion on issues here....kampala is crazy
Am tired 😫 of stress 😩 here Germany 🇩🇪 very soon i be home 🏡. Thanks guys f9r choseing uganda 🇺🇬 wow 👌 😊
Thank you for watching and appreciating Rose
Where in Germany are you based??
May God strengthen you 🙏
@@nuwaherezaboaz5668 amen 🙏 🙌 👏 dear
What some people and countries for that matter don't understand is that "big companies" begin as "small companies." As a result, they end up empty-handed while all the entrepreneurs like this couple from America, simply go somewhere else to start their company. Their loss has been our gain in Uganda. If you look at all the "big companies" around the world, they were once like their meat processing company. I am not surprised at all and quite delighted that this couple are succeeding in my native Uganda. Well done.
Well said
@@ugconnect Good to know, thanks.
I like the Africa Ever After channel. I think they will be successful in Ug. And Zara said it well. When you have the opportunity to go to the so-called developed countries, you should go but have a plan to learn and grow and return to invest in the home country. However, let us not lie to ourselves that it easy for an indigenous person to create a successful business in Ug. Just recently, the traders were protesting against the new tax system. It's clear that the UG gov't favors foreign invsetors and grants them free resources and tax holidays while the indigenous investors have to hustle. The Ug gov't also doesn't like smart people. Whoever has a brilliant idea and becomes popular is feared to have aspirations for taking power. This is why many smart people end up leaving because their dreams are frustrated by the system in Ug. Nonetheless, I hope we can get to see a Ug with a system that favors first its people while also encouraging foreign investment. This will allow many if not most Ugandans in the diaspora to return home. This could also be true for Africa.
Now this is impact and the power of social media in brining in investments into the country!
That's right
I am also tired of bills and stress, racism, depression in Europe, and I am coming back home.
Thank you for watching
Oh sorry please come back
There are bills in Africa too.
The bills in America are crazy
This is great ..thank you bro for bringing this nice brother and sister ..welcome home to Uganda..we wish them well
U r getting good at interviews bro. I am Ugandan Canadian actually in the country currently and am always happy to see more and more AA brethren making Uganda home. Karibu
Thank you for the kind words
@@ugconnect yes sir. Keep on keeping. You're going places blood
The other thing I wish to know, how are they finding the driving, i am born and raised here and can't drive here. I left relatively young so I started driving in Atlanta. I can drive in Kenya alright because they share the road okay....just wondering how they learned how to drive here seeing they are from north America...maybe that could help me get over my fears of driving here
Thanks for the video. Kindly continue w this kind of content, you will be our wode maya of Uganda. God bless you bro.
This is what l want to hear 😊 thanks for sharing 👍 brother ekyeyo sikyangu banange 😢
Thanks for listening
Thanks Felix for supporting our Bro. I mean African bro and sis
Love this couple. Thanks for choosing Uganda. Best wishes
am glad this couple stuck to their plans and stayed in UG.
And they will enjoy life in Africa
Wow I watched these guys on kenganda
I love them.Say hi.Wishing them them the best in UGANDA.
I love their approach and moreso the analysis of the pros and cons to allow them be sincere in life
Indeed
Am starting a channel and I market Uganda too because we have it all
Lest go... Welcome to the club
Amazing ❤️it's inspiring our mother land will always be the best. Thank you so much.
Marvelous! This is the caliber of returnees Africa seeks. I encourage them to cross over to Kenya 😂. Without diminishing our brothers in Uganda, Kenya offers an environment conducive to this type of hustle.
They can export because it is an east African open market
It's lovely to see their happiness and relaxed approach together as one people.
People are brave. The thought of taking my children from the UK to live in Uganda scares me. Scares me in a sense of financial stability.
It wasn't an easy decision. Honestly we're still nervous. But now that our back is against the wall we must make it work.
I respect what you are saying since in the west school is free, credit cards easy, payday loans, food stamps, cash assistance, section 8 or housing vouchers or council housing.
Nothing is free here! Those loans & "Free Housing," are a trap! The schools are "free," but lead to indoctrinating our children to learn values that are self destructive. There's a reason we are looking at the continent!
My thoughts exactly, it holds me back whenever I think about leaving the UK.
@@batzalmariamsrecipes.4996 convenience of the West is what keeps us there. We get it. Would we do it differently yes hell yes. But I don't regret it though
Bravo
My plan is only 10 years all together and return to my home Uganda
Very inspiring ❤
The border crossing is a really serious issue and an embarrassment to the whole continent 😒
Bringing processed food to my motherland 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Processed food is already in your motherland, it just tastes like crap, I welcome what they bring. It's not purchased from China with chemicals and preservatives, it's made from what you have here. And doesn't taste like wet card board like the "processed" food from your neighboring countries.
So inspirational, mr & mrs julius are well informed i like that💯
Thank you for watching
I'm so delighted for this couple coming doing business in Uganda from USA. I'm sure they will enjoy life here better than America.
Thank you for watching
Thanks for choosing the pearl of Africa,we love you ❤

Welcome home
Africans if you come to America, here's the plan. Come and to learn, make money and stay there for no more than 10 years. Save and invest your money back home.
Thank you for the insights
My Ugandan classmate during medical school in the US was extremely quiet/soft spoken. I thought it was just her personality, not a Ugandan trait. 😂
😂😂😂
Been watching you for a while but just realized that I had not subscribed n then just did

I am so ashamed with Uganda's immigration, as Ugandans we need to shout out to the leaders of such acts .

Thank you for sharing:) It was a fantastic video.
This is so refreshing and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to their channel 😄
I wish you all the best
Kampala Uganda is the most expensive city in the world 😮 ?!! I have lived in Nairobi before and I must say this is so untrue. In Kampala I can survive on 3000shs a day that's like 1 dollar. But in Kenya the minimum I needed on a very minimal budget was 3 dollars. The rents in Kenya are crazy high too.
Tell them to apply Visa for 5 years
U are doing great job,thanks 👍
Thank you Bridge
I was wondering if they were still around! Nice to see they are still present. Greatest success guys!!!!! ❤

boarders. mmmm. very strange.
$250,000 to start a business in SA? That's nearly K7,000,000 in Zambian Kwacha.
While I see how it's possible to make that kind of money in the USA, over time, I also know that can go quickly over there and is best invested in Africa on a lucrative business venture or 2.
It's indeed a big figure
