- This is the 2nd annual run of this event. Ian Lijablad is the creator of the GDR. This year a fourth day was added to allow for a hard day followed by. rest day then a hard day and then the trip home. Most of the time is spent on dirt with destinations to check out. This year we did over 250 miles with 36 stock flat fenders with the go devil L134 engine and 60 plus people from all over the country.

This looks like a really awesome event. My dad had one of those old Willys Jeeps when he was a kid at Davis Monthan AFB. I'm moving there in October and looking forward to all the new trails out there.

Sure would like to do this in 2022. However, I have 49 3a with a not correct fhead. Would that be allowed?
Ian is the be all end all. So I can’t say yes or no but I know of it wasn’t a v6 or v8 and looked era correct and I was a cool dude I’d show up and roll with it.
Diff locks or limited slips
What engine is in the jeep at 8:10 sounds like a little turbo diesel, its sweet. This looks so fun, the true jeeping spirit IMO.
