- Quite unlucky at the end but I'm glad I pulled it off. One of the most fun and fulfilling fights I've ever had in the MH series and easily one of, if not the best fight in Iceborne. I'll try to grind for better times for fire in the future if possible, and I'll look to optimize Ice Alatreon as well. I might make a solo guide as well.Thank you guys for the support!

Dat freeze was the most PC experience I've ever seen in a speedrun
I watched your video this morning and then decided to solo alatreon for the first time (played with premade and sos). After about 10 tries, i finally beat him solo for the first time. Thanks so much for your video!!
My best solo is 13 mins, when i reached that time i felt like speedrunner xd

@@meettheinmans7175 I'm right there with you dude. Just had a 30 min run solo, went through 5 novas and had it close to death but I had ice and I already broke the horns. Just couldn't finish it with my ice CB. Big sad mode

The only time I've actually landed correctly on his head with the CC he pulled 6-7 instances of lightning damage while I was trying to tenderize. So that didn't go so great...

Lol me too. But only in multiplayer... he somehow miss the boulder. While in solo it almost hit everytime
he has the coat on. he does get hit but doesn't fall of because of the coat. Or is it something else you are referring to?
@@Meatp0pp0t Like I said, Alatreon will sometimes hit you with half a dozen instances of his lightning attack if you claw to the head, making it a guaranteed cart three times over - you see him rearing up for that attack just before HCZS hits him with his claw attack. Rocksteady did indeed help in not getting him roared or thrown off so he could flinch-interrupt and turn Ala before the lightning came out fully.
No joke I was using nearly the exact same armor set and skills as you, but you kill it in under half the time it took me

@@JasonMC-wc1jr It's actually a lot easier. You have better control of the screen and it has better macros.
Might take some time getting used to when you come from a controller.
@@SilverMystes1 and likewise from keyboard-mouse to controller, you get used to controlling your camera so quickly that it feels like a task if you started off from keyboard

It is really so satisfying to know that I am improving, when I started soloing I died 3 times within the first 5 mins, then I got my first solo kill at 21 mins and now my fastest is 11 mins. Could be even faster but I don't really know what to do when he is flying, normally I just run around dodging attacks hoping he will come down soon xD
Bring smoke bombs if he can see you he will land

Im having the same issue i have killed him multiple times solo no carts trying to improve my time but when i fight him he usually enrages and flys around like a dick all match long.

Agree with you on the fight. Its so good i want to eventually be able to solo it with every weapon (even tho i have no idea how to play 3 of em, and am bad at another 4). Easily my favorite fight

Alatreon is probably one of the best monsters for CB in a long while. So many openings, lots of attacks to gp into aed, and etc.

Probably because it forces a play style which goes against how the entire game was up to that point but whatever.
That's because they're casual players, not everyone had the time or skill to optimize a monster, let alone this one which makes you mix a lot of things up

It is Amped elemental discharge AED. during saed combo - you will do l2 for savage axe, for AED you need to press (back + y). For clear expln check monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Charge+Blade

This is the event quest. Not special assignment.
Once you clear the special assignment, the event one will start you at the camp.
@@sweigh2555 sadly only way to go back to camp is by carting, you just have to go with what you've prepared yourself with on the special assignment.

i noticed that Saed style is a bit punishing since he use a lot of large hitbox elemental attacks which can hit you faster than saed launch time. but I never really tried, because SAVAGE Axe is very juicy dps it's hard to get back to unga bunga. lol
sorry i tried & find out SAED could be very useful once or twice to reach ele dmg check faster if you didn't stagger him yet and he is now in Dragon Active ready to Estacon Judgment. Usually I just do overcharged blade spam to reach ele dmg threshold faster, but SAED is useful as well, it's pure element phials. Escaton Judgement didn't have a chance against us CB users. xD
So there are no alternatives other than kjar and safii weap for him right?
Not true, for ice are beotodus and velkhana enough, for fire you can go with glavenus and rath. You can easily hit the elemental trip with those

Edit: beat him. I subbed 15 with dual blades still hate this monster.
It only becomes hard when it decides to stay in air for longer period in enraged state in dragon phase and u miss the horn break. Always run opposite ele to what the he starts with. Don't use dragon.
