I used to be an aspiring pianist. I once wrote to pianodoc and asked him how he did it. He said he didn't know. Here he presents another great medley. Wish him the best and wish I could've been able to do something like it without knowing how!
This compilation has got me thru a lot of tough mornings, life in the uk is hard at times and waking up in the pitch dark to do a full days work when your suffering with depression is not a nice feeling, but the rare times I have twenty mins to spare (breakfast, shower etc), this keeps me company and reminds me of my favourite performer ever, so thankyou from rainy England for helping me get thru another day.

That was epic. You know, the more I think of it, the more I think Billy Joel is one of the greatest composers. The lyrics, on the other hand I am not so sure about.
This is an awesome work to say the least. It was a great tribute to one of the most talented singer songwriters that we have. What you did was to me a piece of art, because you wove the songs together very harmoniously with great taste and great feeling. Everything was a flow. And the transitions of one song into the next was every time a great pleasure. And always I thought how does he transit the next? Those transitions really are magic and tell of the artist that you are. Because you lead us into the mood of the next song and it's as if you are the guide in an emotional trip and you introduce us to the different emotional worlds that Billy Joel created and at the same time we enjoy how deep you understand his music because you really understand to transport through your piano the essence of each song and the listener goes: wow that's awesome. I hear the complete song in my mind and it's just a piano. How does he do that? And in your heart you go: O this pianodoc is really a genius because he shows me here more clearly than when Billy sings why I love his songs so much. I listen to this medley often. It became part of the playlist of my most inspirational piano songs. As a pianist I learn a lot from you. How you emphasize melody, accompaniment and the different tones and registers of the piano differently. You're a very fine pianist and we're glad to have you. Never stop being an artist. The world needs passionate musicians like you with the right feel and soul for the music.

Sounds pretty good. A little hard on the compressor in the piano, but recording in a space like that isn't ideal, I realize. It was a nice medley to listen to. I'm always amazed when listening to the chordal and melody choices that Billy has made over the years. Always good to be reminded how great he is.
