It was many years ago when ALITALIA and QANTAS used to fly their B747s between Rome and Melbourne/Sydney. So we're all very excited about this new flight. Grazie QANTAS!
@@merlitocapito5153 Its still hard to fly from brisbane in 2023, without having to go via Sydney. Apparently, thats where everyone wants to go according to alan joyce.
How about fixing the fundamental issues first? Takes 4 hrs to reach Qantas support and constant flight delays. Mass lay offs just to keep share holders happy. Embarrassing.
@@butteriest1634 you must be Alan Joyce or a Qantas staff member not giving af about their customers, or you must be here to collect your fat bonus for doing fuck all again?
Sort out the ground staffing issues first Qantas. I’m glad there’s a third alternative in Rex flying the east coast domestic routes because it wasn’t a pleasant experience flying with Qantas recently. After that poor experience we said that we’d prefer to drive. Less hassles with delay after delay after delay.
I love Rome but I wouldn't go there in July and August. Much too hot and practically the whole city is on vacation in August. I do hope there is room for Perth passengers as the 787 stops in from Sydney.
How about a video that shows a total of 2 people answering the phones at the customer service desk, hence the 3+ hour wait times? Or maybe a video showing how your inbox for email inquiries has over 5000 unanswered/ unread emails? Once I burn all my QF points that I have accrued I am going to cut up my Qantas Membership Card, cancel my membership and use other airlines from here on out.
Since Project Sunrise will involve Sydney-London non stop and Melbourne-London non stop, shouldn’t Qantas also launch Sydney-Rome non stop an Melbourne to Rome non stop?
Get the shambles of your existing routes sorted out before dreaming of new ones. Joycey isn't "Match fit" (to use his own words about passengers), in fact he can hardly climb the stairs. Get rid of him and the airline can maybe move on.
Maybe you should stop outsourcing your workers, blaming your customers and cut pay rises to your millionaire management team so you can provide above-budget customer service again.
The only comparison that has Qantas providing a superior service is against Jetstar it's own cheap version. Never will this company rate against the likes of Singapore airlines or Qatar.
Also do Sydney to London via Darwin. Develop the top end Airport to cater diplomatic travel from UN agencies in USA and Europe to reach Dili via Darwin. The flight is also useful for US troops and their families based at Darwin. Develop Darwin to Dili links with smaller aircraft. Improve Darwin Airport so there are hotel rooms at the airport for transit passengers. Darwin seemed to have been ignored for a long time.
Didn't Qantas used to fly to a whole bunch of European & other destinations that they subsequently cut & outsourced to Emirates? Now it takes them a year to figure out how to do it themselves again. Congrats, but geeze....
Qantas is a good airline to travel on but I will not travel with them currently because their prices are too high , A Qantas air ticket from Adelaide to India is currently selling for $2,658 , in 2019 I travelled from Avalon airport in Victoria to India for $220 by Air Asia You can currently purchase an airline ticket from Brisbane to Melbourne for $55 which is around a 2 hour journey so why would a trip which is around 13hours cost $2,658
Why is Qantas going to reduce their Australian route timetables by 15% when currently their airlines in Australia are mostly fully booked ? Are they doing this to push up the prices because less seats means less supply and more demand for the seats and higher prices ? The prices for airline tickets in Australia currently is reasonable because of competition but on the Qantas international routes the prices are really high , is Qantas trying to do the same on the Australia routes by decreasing the availability of flights by 15% ? which was mentioned on the news this week .
You can't compare the 2. Air Asia is a budget airline. Qantas is a full service carrier. Qantas will always be more expensive. The number of hours on a aircraft has little baring on the price.
@@VW_Fan Both airlines use the same amount of fuel and are actually the same brand of aircraft and both have the same level of staff aboard if the difference between two airlines is one has free meals and there is a difference in price of $2,200 because one gives free meals , then I would rather do without the free meals because $2,200 can buy lots of food and mostly likely the food that Qantas includes in the fare would cost them less than $15 wholesale . I know you expect to pay more for a better airline but sometimes paying the difference is not justified in what you get in return ,and when you get off a cheaper airline you have much more money in your pocket to spend on other things on your holiday . I have travelled on Qantas and their meals and service is good but I now would not waste my money by paying their high prices which they are currently charging because they have less competition on their Australian international routes . I went to India from Australia earlier in the year by Qantas and I hope to go back to India as a tourist in less than two weeks time by a budget priced airline and I will be paying around $200 instead of paying Qantas around $3,000 because the airlines fares are starting drop again after the Australian school holidays have finished . The number of hours on an airline does have a barring on the price that is why Jetstar which is part of Qantas can offer fares from Brisbane to Sydney for only $55 but the couldn't do it on their international routes .
@@philipmullins6235 same level of staff means nothing. The pay difference is huge. Australians wages are one of the highest in the world. Compared to Asia that has some of the lowest. Overall all you’re not comparing like for like. The simple answer is if you don’t like the price go elsewhere.
@@VW_Fan Regardless of what wages they receive they still do the same job of looking after the passengers .
