- The word "djembe" comes from the Bambara saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace”. Let that set the intention for this musical fusion between the transformative percussion of West Africa and the resonant tones of Tibetan chanting. This mesmerizing combination of music will transport you to another world and leave you feeling balanced, energized, and revitalized.
The heartbeat of this musical journey is the djembe, a traditional West African drum. The djembe produces a rich, complex sound that is both rhythmic and melodic with differently pitched slaps.
Interspersed throughout the djembe rhythms are the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Tibetan chanting. These chants are believed to have healing properties and are often used for meditation and spiritual practice.

@@endpermia hahaha yeah. One thing I also dig about this one is the use of the shakers to keep the rhythm. It's a nice but subtle touch that enhances the head-bobbing.

Wow man! This is a really good meditation video. It draws you in. The rhythm is constant. The chanting isn't overdone, it slowly evolves and isn't just the same 15 seconds looped over and over and over for an hour.
I just actually went and bought this. It sucks how TH-cam cut off a lot of the lower frequency. I have it turned up and I can really deeply FEEEEL it way clearer and crisper than on the TH-cam video. I am somewhat of an audiophile so being able to hear music in full spectrum is really important to me. Well worth the five bucks mate. Thanks for putting these out. It helped me get into a bit of a trance and clear out the ol' noggin.
