I miss these so much, hope DB one day decide to renew the license for 3rd rail operation. 92s are awesome locos.
The third rail needs to be used by all trains. So freight should draw current from the third rail. The 92s like the 73s do a grand job.
I prefer overhead because I am not used to seeing third rail where I live and it terrifies me

Do any other locos than the Euroshuttle types actually go through the tunnel?

@@HSTHoward Can class 66s go through the tunnel? Once I saw a class 66 hauling channel tunnel freight wagons.
@@AURL-PLL they can go through but not under their own power
None of the British Class 66s are fitted with TVM430 signalling for Channel Tunnel or HS1.
