Girl, you are doing amazing. You're getting better and better with each video and I don't see how you can get much better. What kind of buttercream are you using and where are you using it? I know that the strings are royal icing. I'm just curious about the other part.
Thank you so Much Tina Howard! Oh, I know I'm not the only one who sees my flaws, but as I believe, we can learn for others imperfections as well as our own!! This is all done with royal icing on top of fondant.
Hi I have a question can you do this on whip icing and on butter cream icing am a cake decorator at a grocery store . I would love to do something like this , I think it’s Beautiful .
It can be done with buttercream, however, you may need to chill cake as you pipe on the layers, for added stability. Keep in mind though, whipped icing doesn't hold it's shape as long as royal icing.
YES! My absolute favorite is the one in this video: th-cam.com/video/4renb54fm9I/w-d-xo.html Anesty Airbrush amzn.to/3bQFE8Z. At first, I used an airbrush and compressor from Harbor Freight that wasn't too expensive, but since I've had the Anesty cordless airbrush, I haven't even used the harbor freight one!
When you are doing excessive amounts of piping and making a pattern like that, every difference to you looks troublesome, but as an overall piece when completed, it gives the cake a lot more life. Like, watching ballet, or synchronized marching, or something where- the Movement is the same, and pleasing to the eye, while each piece is ever so slightly different, which is also pleasing- allowing the eye to wander and see the whole for perfection and scrutinize each section from one to the next. If they were all 100% the same, it would be boring, lifeless, a Hallmark card that was given unsigned.
