WOW ! That was a nice peaceful drive. I really enjoyed the ride along. Loved being a passenger to sightsee vs. laser focused on the road & traffic, I'da missed everything.
Lots changed… Lots stayed the same. Spent a lot of time growing up in Redondo, Hermosa in the 70s, 80s… hanging out on Melrose in college… later purchased a home in the Hollywood Hills. Finally moved out of the area in the early 2000s and live in Tokyo, Japan.
Very cool! yes a lot has changed. but much stayed the same. There's a lot of empty/closed shops on melrose right now. Definitely ain't the same like decades before.
@@Omwvlog when I saw the Starbucks and CVC I knew it had been homogenized. There were some interesting restaurants in the area as well and it looks like they may have gone. I was a student going to ArtCenter in the late 80s and Melrose was an inspiration to visit at the time. A lot of trailblazers and forward thinking people were doing some interesting things from fashion, interior design, music and culinary.
I bet it was much more interesting back then. Hope things change for the better with new dinning and shops! Melrose west of La Cienega has been changing a lot with high end retail and restaurants.
I miss some of the SoCal beaches & neighborhoods, but would never return. Far too many people, traffic, noise and problems. Memories are better than reality sometimes....
I think it makes the drive more realistic if you allow the flow of traffic go by when waiting at a red light and not edit it out. This said, thank you for your work, it's much appreciated.

They "think" that the skies are being intentionally contaminated by airplanes that spray chemicals as part of some sort of nefarious govt. control scheme. Just as hilarious and delusional as the flat earthers or those that don't believe humans have landed on the moon.
