That brought back some memories! When you did swaps at school and some other kid had some rare sticker you needed and when you got it ,others wanted it too and would offer several stickers for one ..great times. I had Return of the Jedi stickers and the pannini football albums of 81 through to 85 or something. Great video that thanks
Collecting was amazing in the 80s!!! I remember taking huge stacks of WWF stickers to school to swap everyday!! 👌👍, Great video as always Dean. And thank you so much for subbing, your support is hugely appreciated 👍🙏
Unused to live the World Cup albums back in the day, Mexico 86 was a biggie. So many swaps. Back then, even allowing for inflation, the albums and stickers were very affordable. I recall the ET sticker album was just 20p which was cheap even then. Gotting and Needing in the playground was such fun.
Cool ...god i miss the art work they use to do.You are spot on there, swapping stickers with the other kids was part and parcel of the whole thing. Mary ann this girl at school wanted 2 kissers for a sticker........i think all of us at some time had to pay the piper and kissed her couldn't do much about it....she had the good shit! and she new it LOL That was my 1st kiss will...n.z
LOL... put it this way she wasn't the best looking spoon in the draw ..she jump on one guy..we had to go in and save the poor bugger ,she wanted more then a kiss for that sticker LOL...will..n.z
The president of DC at the time, Carmine Infantino, protested the Marvel books that showed Harry Osborne with a drug addiction. Stan Lee published them anyway without the approval of the CCA (the censors). The rules were quickly amended, and DC soon did a similar story in Green Lantern. Stan was indeed “The Man”!
Just got hold of this marvel sticker album and I would love to swap with you for your doubles, as I am in the UK and you're in the US we could simply dinghy ride across the pond and meet up in the middle, but as its winter time I think we should give it a miss. Happy sticking at8 and thanks for the great vid once again.
Looks like fun! As an old Marvel fan, the “World Outside Your Window” mantra was supposed to mean realism. Real characters in real cities in a shared universe. This was totally opposite to the bigger competitor back in the day, DC. Marvel was always political, but they are borrowing that slogan for a different purpose, imo.

The foil club badge stickers were always worth three or four "normal" stickers.

Doing swaps in the playground was probably the best part of collecting these stickers. You're very welcome.
Genuinely loved collecting stickers in the 80's. Loved sticker albums.
It was always so satisfying to complete an album.
I had the ones for Voltron, 101 Dalmatians, He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe and the Thundercats.
Very nice. 👍🏻
Well done, you finished it. Nice album too. 😉👍
Thanks 👍🏻

I remember the Mexico 86 album as well. Without taking inflation into account, it was definitely cheaper to complete these albums back in the day.
What a great video, perfectly captures the fun, frustration and expense of completing a sticker album. Loving the channel!
Thank you!!! 👍🏻

LOL, nothing wrong with getting to kiss a chick AND get a sticker. The sticker would be a bonus, unless she was a total monster........HAHAHAHA

If you enjoy it and it brings you pleasure, it's worth doing.

Very interesting. Thanks.
Only one I finished was 1983 more sticky tape on the outside holding it together that stickers on the inside.
Oh yeah, I have one that needs to be taped up as well.

I also liked the classic artwork way better than the modern 2000s and up stuff
Definitely 👍🏻
