Great stuff, I had the general Lee wrist racer, actually I still do, I'm looking at it now but I only have the car, no idea what happened to the wrist contraption. Yeah, I have to agree, having a key is awesome, my brother had a car with a key fob that would set an alarm. I do remember having a car that you could charge with a black plug in battery pack and it would shoot off, no idea what it was called or what happened to it, but I think it was a blue C4 Corvette. Wow, Renta Ghost, now that does take me back, what a show! right I'm off to see if I can find an episode on TH-cam! Gadzooks Mr Claypole!
Like Rough Riders, I had a few STOMPERS, and I loved em. I had a Key Cars, I would pop em open and put stiffer springs inside, and glue em back together! They were like a rocket then!
I used to have a toy made by Galoob called 'The Animal' that would deploy tiger claws from its tyres to climb over obstacles and ran of batteries. I agree with your burnin key car choice, its simple and fast to deploy unlike the others for fast fun.
Loved my A-Team rough rider, but I have to admit I have no recollection of them having working headlights, just remember it going through the flower beds in the back garden.
I had some battery powered Stompers. I made the mistake of putting one in my little brothers hair. I got in deep trouble when mom had to cut it out with scissors.
Never had any of these, though I think the Rough Riders would have appealed the most. They look like they could take a beating which would have come in handy in our house. In the 80s, my dad had a van which he called the Falcon. In the back was a scrambler motorcycle which he described as a speeder bike. Whenever he reached a set of traffic lights, he would call out "Ungawa, ungawa," in order to get them to change from red to green, with varying degrees of success. 👍
For me, the Wrist Racers and Key Cars were the best. I don't remember the finger racers, but the destruction feature is great. I shall have to try and get some of these at some point. Nice video man 👍👍🐵
Nice one Dean. Never grow tired of one off the wrist with the Dukes of Hazard. Very impressive that all 5 had just as much life in them as they had 40+ years ago. My fondest memories are for penny racers
I wasn't much into car toys as a child, I had a few hand-me-down Hot Wheels from friends' older brothers. Super cool video, very entertaining! Thank you for sharing it!
Love the Rentaghost Annual + Birds Custard makeshift ramp. Brilliant! Agree with the Rough Riders almost making the number one spot, but I recently got a K.I.T.T. key car and the memories it brought back making it fly off the key like that really transported me back to the '80s.
good review video bro yeah, I can see your point, but only one ever interested me as a kid the rough riders, mine was constant 4X4, a corvette, and maybe also a van, but they had no lever though. went months without a battery though, still, it looked good. I had simple spring back vehicles before those, and I did nt like that all that much myself. plastic seemed cheap, and gimmicky as heck. I liked my cars in metal, hotwheels, matchbox, and one with licence plates, I m not sure of the name brand. I pretty much dropped everything in 82 when gi joe came out, I was 13, I was very dedicated to get the whole catalog - collection, and a Cobra army that matched. it s hazy as it s a long time ago, but it was mainly die casts and lego before that, I always was pretty focused on the same stuff as a kid. so now you know... God bless America and world peace good show bro
Key cars where amazing. My mate at school had the A Team key car. I remember trying to nick it on school toy day by 'accidentally' leaving it in my millennium falcon. Ha ha.
Such awesome and simple toys that bring back great memories.
Absolutely 👍🏻
Yes I had these with my 2 brothers in the 1980s thanks for sharing this have a great week ahead 😊
Many thanks. I hope you have a great weekend. 👍🏻

I really need to try and find an episode of Renta Ghost. I remember it being absolutely ridiculous, but it'll be nice to relive the memories again.

Nice 👍🏻

The best thing about these Dukes of Hazzard toys is that they are relatively inexpensive. COLLECT THEM ALL.

Thanks Ed. It just goes to show how well made these toys were.
Thanks for sharing. I remember having the key cars and Stompers, which were similar to the 4x4 toys but with controls on the bottom.

Yes, it's about those trips down memory lane. 👍🏻
Vroom around the room. Forgot I had that yellow gear on top one as an 80s kid.
Can't beat a good old vroom vroom. LOL
