      @@dank9288639 Why not? I've been using Beef tallow in here for 4 months now. It works great. I'm able to store the container in the fridge so it doesn't go rancid. The container opens up like Tupperware so it's easy to scoop out the beef tallow.Best deep fryer for beef tallow.👍

      @@shawn4357 No shit, I think I got an older model then. Bc my bottom bin doesn't pop open like that 😒
      Only reason I was against it was bc of the bottom container.... Hmmm, now I'm wondering if I can get a new bottom to it to use tallow. Bc that would be amazing. Maybe even two, just to use the tallow on some and oil for other things. Thank you for the reply brotha 🤙

    I think what should be added, when I bought mine nothing was said about when the oil gets to a lower temperature it will drain I thought it would drain after use fast. I am very happy with mine I use it regular and always clean after use with no problem at all.

    Does anyone know how to change the batteries for the timer? Do you have to loosen the screws on the back? It looks like you have to disassemble the whole device. If the batteries are low, the device will not work properly and it beeps and croaks all the time, even when it is disconnected.
    I don't understand why a device that can only work on AC power anyway needs batteries to operate.

    Does the machine comes in different sizes? Is the oil container made out of plastic or other material? Can you leave the oil container inserted when cooking? Or you have to take it out because its plastic and it might melt from the heat of the machine? Just asking before I buy it

    • @voluntarism335
      @voluntarism335 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a plastic yes you can leave the plastic in the machine while cooking nothing will happen to it. The oil filtration system simply waits until the oil cools down enough before it starts filtering because otherwise the oil would melt the plastic once you're done frying set the temp to 0 and turn off the machine then put it onto filter it will wait a few hours then filter once oil is sufficiently cooled then you can reuse the oil have a dozen to a dozen times but eventually you will need to dispose of the oil and replace it with new oil. There really isn't a better oil fryer on the market and I would not bother getting the smaller size

  • @50hellkat2
    @50hellkat2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you have to wait until oil cools before you turn it to the drain position? The instructions say it will drain when the oil cools.

    • @garysampson5258
      @garysampson5258 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It won't drain until it cools, so go ahead and turn it to drain.

    • @voluntarism335
      @voluntarism335 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no once you are done frying you can set it to filter it will wait a few hours before it begins filtering the oil because it is waiting for the oil to cool the fryer does not need to be on for this so once done frying just put temp to 0 and turn off the machine then set the nob to filter. After a few hours it will start filtering then it will be done then you just wash parts

    we bought one today and used it this evening. bought it solely on the merit of the internally filtered reservoir.
    here's my take: build quality is on par or better with the other brands we evaluated. the ONLY complaint i read online about it was that the filter clogs easily. and indeed, it took me having to stick something into the vat and brush the filter a bit for it to begin draining. and this was on the FIRST USE. (we cooked a couple dozen, home-made, vietnamese egg rolls. maybe they are more prone to leaving solids in the oil than other things?)
    it did drain after that. took about 5-7 minutes or so. but worked fine. no apparent leaks anywhere and the oil in the reservoir looked particulate-free.
    with this one feature not being as "automatic" as advertised. i have to wonder if simply buying a wide-mouth jug and a deep screen strainer wouldn't be just as easy (and faster) in the end?
    ultimately, i gave up on other features i would have liked, for this ONE feature. maybe it was a good trade. maybe not?
    but it cleans easily, and fried the food nicely. so overall, i don't regret the $79 purchase (wal-mart).

      Thanks so much for your input. After seeing this video I changed my mind on getting the Aroma Smart Fry XL ADF-232 with a 3.8 liter capacity and two small and one large basket...and a digital control with programs for different food. A couple weeks ago there was an Amazon seller with a $43.95 price with an order total of $49 or higher. I'm now ditching the T-Fal idea and going back to buying the Aroma model. I'll do as you said......buying a wide-mouth jug and a deep screen strainer.

    If you don't mind me saying, it might be a good idea to clean the unit, that is grimy, that way both of them are clean. I know I would. I had a DeLonghi roto deep fryer, that which I hated, because while I liked that fact that the basket was dishwasher safe, that you only needed a third less oil, that the basket rotated in and out of the oil for a healthier frying and that you can drain and filter out out the oil, what I hated, is that you could not remove the pot for cleaning and washing! That was stupid! That was actually the third fryer I have ever had. My fourth fryer, will be the T-Fal ultimate EZ clean, when I can afford it, when I can work.

    I saw your video within an article of best deep fryers. So, I came to TH-cam to find you. You mentioned if we have questions to ask. I do have a question... There was an issue with the oil retention ring. It would break, crumble apart etc. Do you know if the ring problem has been addressed and fixed? I am hesitant in purchasing a deep fryer since my Presto Fry Pro had a few used dented parts and the oil never got to right temp, it would go under and soggy fries, etc. I used it once and returned it. Didn't notice the used/dented parts until after one time use. I am in the hunt again for a deep fryer, but so many to choose from and most, if not all, have some sort of problem or problems. I have researched deep fryers for weeks and would take a break and back at it, but I am no closer in making a decision of which one to try next. Thanks for any help you can provide.
