Only thing remaining is finding a partner for the kick off drills. Thank you a lot.

Quick tips for mid-level players in the air: if you struggle crossing the big skill gap there is between step 2 and step 3, you can also create a custom game with low-gravity, this really gives you a bit more time to figure things out in the air ;) good drilling !
No, actually you should do the opposite thing. Make the gravity higher and boost strength 1.5x It's basically similar to weighted baseball training, if you have to do something harder, the easy one will get easier. That's how my powershots, aerial control and air dribbles improved significantly
My training plan (60 mins+): 1: 5 min freeplay: speed follows 2: 10 min freestyle on "rings 3" (workshop) 3: 15-20 min "dribbling 2 overhaul" (workshop) 4: 15 min "ground shots" (custom pack) 5: 15 min "all kinds of shots" or "areal pass" (custom packs) 6: X min freeplay: waiting for teammate while halfflipping wavedashing and drifting and stuff you like to do

@@EyePromise So if you're not over-promising, that means your multivitamin reduces the impact of blue light? Guess I should put away the polarized specs and monitor settings, all I need is some Optiberry(TM)!
Do we care what he has to say in order to have someone sponsor his videos? He gave them their money's worth and gave us good content. That's an appropriate mixing of business and pleasure in my book.
wildcardNS yes it reduces the negative impact of blue light. Keep your monitor settings and blue light specs, they may help as well. The research on long term blue light exposure is still in early stages, so frankly there’s a lot we just don’t know yet. We don’t know how much it increases risk of disease later in life, for example, but we do know it contributes to eye strain, sleep issues, headaches, etc. Screen Shield Pro is no magic fix, but it helps fill the gap in our diets and can help with those issues. If you don’t think it’s doing anything, we’ll gladly refund you in 60 days. No questions asked. Thought of another one when thanks to Leth: Play a match (PVP or bot) or do free play without jumping. Mostly for lower skill level players but hugely advantageous for your ground car control.
I can see that Kevpert left a big impact on you. Great video and awesome training routine! Im curious to see what it can do to my mechanics as I never actually sat down to focus on training. Might make a little video answere for you of how I do today and in 31 days. Cheers musty, I love your vids.

Just wanna say thanks for all the tips I have gotten much better at rocket league just from watching ur videos.. I still have a ways to go but thanks again
Any chance you could add something in a video doing the only air roll figure 8's with Kux Twist with a gamepad viewer up? I'm 100% stuck on this and while I see small strides in bettering it after long sessions I still struggle big time. I think it'd give me that slight extra understanding seeing what you are actually doing with your hands 👍🏼 I'd greatly appreciate it!!!
I started these drills today and noticed that my mechanics weren’t as good as I thought they were. Within the first hour I started seeing improvements. I can only imagine what I can accomplish after sticking with this. I love the content.
Eye promise is actually legit af. Im a mixed martial artist and i get pre tested before any fights and i always come up clean even while taking these. I don't notice my eyes being better per say but i do notice my eyes strain a lot less
Musty: So you're gonna wanna practice bounce dribbles Also Musty: *Slows down the setup so I have no idea how fast or slow I need to go and cant do it correctly once*
So when air rolling around the pillars, do you just hold air roll and fail for many many hours and eventually it makes sense? Cuz I'm at like 3 hours and it hardly ever goes where I think it will.
Dopebeats. Drixe dude same!! I just can’t figure out how to guide my car around the pillars while air rolling and holding my joystick diagonally down left to do the kuxir twist. Because if I want to guide my car, I have to move my joystick, but that will stop the kuxir twist.. help I’m so confused lol
Bradley Blow I just recently found out about individually binding air roll left and air roll right so I don’t have to move my joy stick to air roll. I just hold that button down and move my joy stick up or down to affect the nose of my car. Still can’t air roll aerial though, I think that really just comes with a couple thousand hours
I've been grinding free play and these certainly helped! One thing I would recommend is to try to the pillars drills, but have your car backwards (upside down? Don't know which one to use) this makes some aerials easier, at least for me
I am completely confused on how air roll works... there are times where I turn it bottom diagonal right and it goes right sometimes and left sometimes. If anyone can let me know why this happens, thanks!
I am by no way an expert on this, but from my experience, You have to make micro-adjustments mid spin based on the orientation of the car. It's the most sense I can make of it and still can't control which way I go consistently.
Musty, I have a genuine question. How effective are the eye vitamins? I want to see how much they will improve my life online and offline overall. A general estimate will do for me. Thanks!
Quack Quack Returns they work, but it’s not a RedBull. Most people starting noticing a difference around 6 weeks in. You might notice your eyes aren’t as sore at the end of the day or as light sensitive when you go outside. Those are the early signs.
Thanks Musty! Seeing freestylers and pros always made me think I'd never get good at the game. I suck ass LOL these are the perfect training drills I needed! :)
For anyone on *drill 8* the best I can describe is you want the top of your car to be coming around to face the corner your taking. So start with a regular air roll then go into the kuxir until you change direction and either go back to regular straight when your happy with the angle you've got (e.g. wait for the kuxir spin to point you straight up) or begin the regular air rolls when the car is a slight angle from the kuxir spin to maintain a curve momentum (however you will need to straighten yourself back up as to not hit anything) NOTE: This is only what I've found out from about 3 hours of practicing this so take it with a pinch of salt as I'm not 100% but it is starting to work a bit for me
just by looking at the statement in the title i know ive got to watch this video, because these tips actually work especially the free play power shot practice and positioning your car in better places, just thank you so much musty, i really appreciate it
I remember watching video this when it first came out, and here it is in my recommended 2 years later. Glad to know that TH-cam knows I'm still trash at this game.
I feel like 4 should be changed bc there are plenty of scenarios where the kickoff can end up on your side but you get possession. Or kickoff goals shot from your side. I'd say it should largely be based on possession, not ball location Edit: tho, the way you do the drill is certainly better for practicing winning kickoffs. I guess my thought is, it's not kickoffs that win you games, it's kickoff possession. Winning kickoffs can be a part of this, but boost conservation, recovery skills, shot accuracy, etc. are also just as, if not, more relevant in a lot of scenarios and could be incorporated better into the drill imo
As for someone who does alot of workshop packs as warm-up and other similar training such as musty have showed us in this video, I can tell anybody who thinks this is not true that it actually works. I have always been warming up or doing trainingpacks/workshop/freeplay before I play, or if I don't find myself in the mood to play. These trainings work more efficient then you might think. I have improved quit alot over the past half year going from plat 3 to champ 1. Doing those trainings is really good for you, and challange you to do more difficult thinks, you will find yourself improving alot. Good luck everyone who will be doing this seriously, it will count! And thanks to Musty for this video, alot I unconsiously already did, but not as hardcore as these trainings are. For PC players only: for aireal control i recommend the workshop: Speed Jump: Rings 3 - By DMC steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1671658424&searchtext=speed+jump+rings+3+by+dmc
yooooooooooooooo, u dont know how insane this video is dude. Ive been on reddit asking and all i got was go into freeplay and play lots of 1v1s. Tomorrow im gonna start using this and see how its goes. i might try to record a video from a game now and a game over 1 month. thnx for the vid and keep up the great work.
Musty!!! You have literally made me so much better from just watching your vids and imitating what you do, or at least try to, I’m a gold rank in everything now, but trying to get to the next level and just improve in general :)
I have two questions: 1. Pillars: Is it ok to leave ballcam on all the time? It's easier for me to fly around the pillars with ballcam on and ball in the middle. 2. Tokyo underpass: Do I need to land on the wall? What if I hit the ball right after it bounces? Or sometimes since I land so short after the ball that I can hit it with a simple double jump. Thanks
For the aerial control set, you should have another part where you have to keep your car backwards/upside down so you can better control your car in those very awkward situations.

So start with a regular air roll then go into the kuxir until you change direction and either go back to regular straight when your happy with the angle you've got (e.g. wait for the kuxir spin to point you straight up) or begin the regular air rolls when the car is a slight angle from the kuxir spin to maintain a curve momentum (however you will need to straighten yourself back up as to not hit anything)
NOTE: This is only what I've found out from about 3 hours of practicing this so take it with a pinch of salt as I'm not 100% but it is starting to work a bit for me
just by looking at the statement in the title i know ive got to watch this video, because these tips actually work especially the free play power shot practice and positioning your car in better places, just thank you so much musty, i really appreciate it
I remember watching video this when it first came out, and here it is in my recommended 2 years later. Glad to know that TH-cam knows I'm still trash at this game.
i love mustys explanations compared to all the other tutorial cause im trying to get better mechanics and ths was probably the best vidoe ive seen.
0:43 There has certainly been time, effort and focus put into the graph.
Pillars routine is the best. Plat 2 in ones from silver 1 after two months. So i still suck but this pillars routine made me improve notably.
Nice Video it helped
Another variation you can do at pillar map is only free-cam or only ball-cam to learn how to move from any perspective
I feel like 4 should be changed bc there are plenty of scenarios where the kickoff can end up on your side but you get possession. Or kickoff goals shot from your side. I'd say it should largely be based on possession, not ball location
Edit: tho, the way you do the drill is certainly better for practicing winning kickoffs. I guess my thought is, it's not kickoffs that win you games, it's kickoff possession. Winning kickoffs can be a part of this, but boost conservation, recovery skills, shot accuracy, etc. are also just as, if not, more relevant in a lot of scenarios and could be incorporated better into the drill imo
your edits just keep getting better lol
Thanks for taking the time to make this! Been playing a few months now. Low plat. Your videos help!
Wow this actually helped me
This is the training drill we needed as a community
thank you musty for the great educational content
Expect greatness and be just as good as musty, but this will take hours of practice and frustration but it will help
For PC players only: for aireal control i recommend the workshop:

So ready too begin the drills. Been looking for something like this, thanks bud
yooooooooooooooo, u dont know how insane this video is dude. Ive been on reddit asking and all i got was go into freeplay and play lots of 1v1s. Tomorrow im gonna start using this and see how its goes. i might try to record a video from a game now and a game over 1 month. thnx for the vid and keep up the great work.
Awesome! Yet another drill pack to grind :). Love the idea with the kickoff one!
Musty takes drugs
ron gil pills baby.
love the pillar stage, got a sort of similar challange on the 2 goal stages. Go through the goals without touching anything
im very inconsistent on the pillar drill, sometimes i can do 3/4 then literally half of 1. Great video
This is actually really helpful thanks musty
Wow, this is a training video that actually got me excited to train
Fantastic suggestions. I'm looking forward to working on these drills and improving my overall control.
I'm so spoiled on pc with workshop maps that I never thought about using the pillars map as a training map. That's fantastic.
Musty, you’re the GOAT. Sweet Vid.
Musty!!! You have literally made me so much better from just watching your vids and imitating what you do, or at least try to, I’m a gold rank in everything now, but trying to get to the next level and just improve in general :)
I have two questions:
