  • In this video we will show you the Citroen E-Jumpy winter range test and see if it can make 250km in one charge? The test is done with low teperatures between -2 to 4 degrees celsius. And mix of speeds, all from 50km/t to 110km/t, we added som cargo that weighs 100kg to make the test more realistic.
    The test was on dry roads and driving in normalmode with cruisecontrol when possible.
    The car we used in this test is the one with the biggest battery pack, 75kW
    and the L2 version.
    A big thanks to Notodden Bil & Speedshop who was nice to lend me the car for this test:

    Hope this test will help you to know what to expect of range in conditions like this👍

    I drove the SAIC Maxus EV80 at the e-Cannonball (dot) de and the sweet-point was, when the rest-range kilometers counted down in sync with the progressed kilometers.
    Without any wind and on dry road it was just 5kmh up and down (max speed 110kmh) , so not significant slower in total.
    After having won the second-last placement after 19h drive on my trip Berlin to Bremen I had strong counter-wind and I had to reduce to 80kmh to keep the two meteres in sync.

    No idea why Teslabjørn won't test this one. You earned a subscriber. Tusen takk !

      It's on the list, but it takes time and he needs to get his hands on one to begin with!

      He did the test now.

      He tested it and range is actually quit good .. compared to other vans .. ( mercedes is a joke for example )
      Biggest problem is WLTP range is a joke .. it's always less and depens on conditions .. You will not buy a van like this to drive it empty .. some installers will fit a roof rack for ladders / pipes .. then range also will be dropping a lot ..

    Thank you for such a practical test!
    Is there any difference in altitude above see level between your starting point and finish?
    And another cross-check, which seems strange for me: computer said consumption is 28.1kWh/100km and travelled distance is 207km. Than you spent 28,1*2,07=58.2kWh. 3% of 75kWh left in battery is 2,3kWh.
    So, where is another 75-58,2-2,3=14,5kWh?! Almost 20% of brand new battery capacity disappeared due to relatively low outside temperature? Or computer doesn't count energy spent by HVAC?

    Does anybody know the specs and on board 12v battery and tray? Any chance it can be upgraded to something bigger and lithium, like 300AH Lithium ? Does the AC run off the 12v battery?

    You didn't mention the heating. I presume it was on, and that this van doesn't have a heat pump? Well done for doing a practical range test - first one I have seen for this PSA vehicle.

      Yes, inside temp was set at 21 degrees celsius👍

      The Hvac AC is what uses a lot of energy in these vans! Eco mode shutsdown most of the Hvac system and keeps the interior really cool!

    Hi, great to find a 'private' lengthly test of a e-Jumpy. I am a consultant fpr emobility in Munich and I got today a company which is very interested in converting to BEV-transporters.
    1:50 But they have steady load of 800kg. Will you be able to repeat the range test with a 1000kg load?

    • @techcheck8355
      @techcheck8355  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe I`ll do a test with more load in the future. First it will come a charging session video tomorrow and a 500km run with this car.

    To what % did you load the battery up and how much time took it when driving back?

    • @techcheck8355
      @techcheck8355  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% battery, and it will come another video on the return (a 500km run) and also a charging session from 10-80% with a fastcharger.

    An average speed of 66 km/h is quite low. When I drive a long distance of 200 km, it's probably 90 % on the highway, reducing the range even more.

    Take the diesel version and do 800km

    • @techcheck8355

      many variables that will make the range, here it was the temperature and alot of highspeed

    • @kittsdiy
      @kittsdiy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@techcheck8355 idd drive it at continues speed of 50-70km you will probably get there .. at 120km/h no way .. it's also limited i guess .. some other EV vans also limited to 110km/h etc ..

      @techcheck8355  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @UC9Tp0kZzOQsl6NpmkfXvdB%F0%9F%99%82Q yes, speed, temperature, wind and alot of things will have impact on consumption. It is also the same with fossil cars

      I'll keep my 20 plate 1.5 diesel berlingo, thanks, until they improve the electric vans alot more, 100kg load is nothing, pointless exercise try it with 3/4 tonne and see what results you get, not many people drive around in an empty van.

      Very cold, normal mode, heating on etc.

      Real world driving with a bloke who knows how to get the best mileage (poor guy normally drive an NV200!)
      3.1 miles per kwh which equals well over 330km range.
