Everyone should be liking your comment, God wants not one to perish. He loves everyone of us and just wants us to come back home with Him. When I say back home with Him it's bc I believe we all belong to Our Father through Hiis Son Jesus Christ.
God's Love for us is beyond measure. To me that's incomprehensible, no description of God's love and you can experience His love personally. iIt's a game changer Jesus loves us all the same, deep & unconditionally but God is always a gentleman So, He still waits to be invited in to you, your heart..I Pray all do this. In Jesus Holy Mighty Loving Merciful Healing Name Amen

Since Billy interviewed me, let me chime in: Great point. But because we don’t know if this has anything to do with God’s judgment with absolute certainty, we need to tread very lightly. God will use those failures you mentioned to wake us up.
On matters like this, we must consider two things:
      1) MAKE sure that our heart isn’t full of arrogance and judgmentalism (like a modern-day Pharisee who is being insensitive to the great losses that many are experiencing).
      2) BUT on the other hand, we don’t want to offer temporary help when eternity is at stake. We must come alongside of them and love & encourage them, while at the same time, we need to use this as an opportunity to share the good news.
The good news about Christ can only be appreciated with the bad news as the backdrop-God’s judgment is real. There are times when the saints must be fed, and there are times when the sinners must be warned (C.H. Spurgeon).
Jesus himself often use calamity to draw people to God such as when the tower fell and killed many. The prophets would also warn the people to turn back to God in the midst of suffering and tragedy. Turning to God is ultimately their only hope.
In most cases, pastors only talk about having your best life now and positive things so interviews like this are shocking when they should be life-changing.
Granted, we need to be encouraged, but if that’s all we talk about, the church will inevitably drift in the lukewarm direction. And this is where the American church finds itself today.
It’s time to seek God’s mercy and humble ourselves. We must stop confusing God’s patience with His approval and seek Him like never before. He is our only Hope!
      Sincerely,
      Shane Idleman

An indirect way. The citizens voted people into office that are ineffective. If they are Godless then that is what you get. So, the judgement was brought on by the leaders we vote for. God doesn't have to directly do anything. We do it to ourselves by Godless living.

Our country is so far past a judgment from God. He was mocked at the awards show. He was mocked during the Paris Olympics. After the Olympics were over, all of the power went out in Paris. The only place that had power was a church visible from Paris. The church was so beautiful with the lights glowing. I believe God has allowed by God. He didn't cause it.
