- After receiving some of the new lures by Samson Fishing, I ventured out early one morning to put them to the test. In this video I'll be using the Shad, a long casting, sub-surface lure designed by Grant Woodgate at Samson Fishing.
This lure can be worked in a variety of ways. By lifting the rod tip and tapping away at the rod, you can get it working with a 'walk the dog' action. You can also get it working just below the surface, imitating a fleeing baitfish. With it being a 'sinking' lure, you're able to fish it deeper in the water column when fishing deep water.
This lure casts extremely well and the sizes I had with me were 15g, 20g, 25g and 30g. Although they’re small in size, These lures will tempt bass in calm conditions (as shown in this video) and in very lively conditions with big swell and frothy water.

Excellent lure fishing experience, this coastal spot is perfect for catching bass!
Will certainly look in to the Samson lures for future fishing sessions, tight lines fella.
They’re excellent lures mate. In the right conditions they’ll work great.
I love the Samson lures. My go to lure. Even trawling behind my boat and kayak!! I do not have these ones, but will certainly get a few of the 25gram ones!!

The Enticer Minnow is my favourite top water when it’s super rough now
The bigger version of the Tweak Bait is also really good in the rough.
Never caught on it I have it 3 years the thing drives me nuts I've given it loads of water time even when I've been into bass. Any tips I'll gladly take them
@@joeduggan5194 I’m fishing it in big surf !!! Hold the rod top up and just bounce it on the surface as much as you can but retrieve it as slowly as you can

Nice early morning bass. Come on, tell the truth, if the fishing turned out to be really phenomenal, you would have pulled a "sickey" from work?
Oh, and those monsters Grant Woodgate catches are serious bass. He must bolt himself to the rocks, given the amount of waves that break over him.
😂 Yeah I would’ve found an excuse to be late if necessary haha. Landing fish of that size in those conditions is definitely no easy feat is it!

They’re super sharp! And strong.
Do these have a rattle in them bud?
No mate they don’t. They’re a silent lure. The attraction comes from the way they’re worked.. ie the retrieve. 👍🏼
