- Hon'ble CM N Biren Singh inspected the progress of developing a bridge (Nongpok Thong), footpath, and recreational parks at the eastern side of the Kangla, the ancestral palace of the past Meitei rulers of Manipur.
Hon'ble CM also had a personal glimpse of the remnant of an ancient eastern bridge from the Kangla over the Imphal River, which may have been constructed centuries back. It will be preserved and protected.

In my point of view.. Let's cease the involvement of contractors and insurgents .. Let the experts do the job precisely.. And peacefully. Development funds are not in the hands of engineers.. There simply job is to draw, maping, allocate and estimates.
The one who manipulates the process of development are those with high rankings ...Contractors.. Insurgents... Engineer are just like any other construction workers.. They are stuck in the middle..
And by watching this video.. One thing is certain.. Our CM is a practical man. His ideas and vision are splendid

Hon'ble sir I appreciate your dedication to digging into this issue.
Our CM is giving the right suggestions. With out proper foundation, the structure will be washed away during flood. The structure should be designed to take various loads and this has been correctly pointed by our CM. This structure is going to remain for our future generations and subsequently our engineers and contractors should not compromise in design and construction quality. Further, adding aesthetic look to the design will enhance the overall look of the urban infrastructures of Imphal. Having infrastructure harmony in both design and construction material will ensure better urban environment.
