Thanks for posting this, Scott! Still to this day one of the most amazing shows ever put on the field. First time I’ve seen that drill from the top in a very long time. Breathtaking!
yeah the panels were 2-sided with different artwork on each side. The original plan for finals was to pull them out with the first side that had been used all season, then flip them over to the new art side. I was in the hornline and saw the guard practicing it on finals day, but the decision was made to scrap the flip and just pull them out with the new side up. Not sure exactly why, maybe there wasn't enough counts to do all that before the show ended.
@@scotta4527 Do you have an exact year when they stopped doing that? I thought I just finished making my collection of dci vids but I was unaware of this and need to know so that I can relabel the highcam ones correctly.
@@marchingartsarchive I don't know exactly, I bought a few individual corps High Cam from 92 and 93 and those are from Finals, but the full top 25 high cam was from Thursday, for sure 87 - 90. After that I don't know
@@scotta4527 Yeah - this is quite disappointing to me, because I'd love to see a high cam version of our Finals Show in '90. Oddly, I have seen posts to TH-cam of just the END of our show - and it's High Cam only... but clearly from finals. I have no idea how they got that or where it came from - but I want the whole show!
I’d love to see drill like this again in DCI.

Would love to have marched this show.. it was imo the beginning of a tremendous era in dci.
4:13 the coolest variation of the Z-pull in history
Kinda like 2 Z-pulls happening at the same time
Praise ye the gods of brass!
Hey there - can you post Cadets and Cavies 1990 high cam?
I posted Cadets and someone reported my page and it was deleted
Were those different banners at the end of the show than they had in finals?

@@scottallen1990 This is by far one of my favorite drum corps shows ever
@@WoodlanColorGuard thanks it was a fun summer !
Definitely Semi-Finals
actually its Thursday night - Quarter finals
@@scotta4527 Stand corrected, but definitely not Finals
That cannot be Brandt Crocker!!! That doesn't even sound CLOSE to him.
This must be semi finals...this seems like a flat audience and flat show.
Hi Ryan, yep "back in the day" the high cam VHS tapes were from Quarterfinals
