    Earthquake can’t stop the music!
If you'd like to help the Croatian Music Institute, which suffered a huge damage as a result of the recent devastating earthquake that hit Zagreb, please read below.
Croatian Music Institute (Zagreb Musikverein) and its building are one of the oldest and most important cultural institutions and venues in Zagreb and Croatia.
This 144 year old „house of music“ holds one of the most special and most beautiful concert halls in our country, a concert hall which welcomed numerous renowned musicians throughout its history (one of our most famous honorary members was Franz Liszt!), but also young and aspiring musicians who made their debuts on our podium.
As an association of music lovers, the Croatian Music Institute has always been an active participant in shaping and supporting culture and music, but also an attentive guardian of Croatian music heritage and history.
The COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately closed the doors of our concert hall. This put us in a very difficult financial situation - since the Croatian Music Institute legally functions as a citizens’ association, the major part of our income is sourced from hall rental.
And then we suffered another blow - a devastating earthquake hit Zagreb on 22nd of March. Many buildings in the historical centre were badly damaged, including ours. We are in great need of financial resources to fix the roof which is rapidly deteriorating, walls, ceiling, windows and doors.
The management of the Institute, led by prof. dr. sc. Romana Matanovac Vučković, is making incredible efforts in order to find ways of financing the restoration, and looking into all available funds locally and internationally while also reaching out to possible sponsors and planning a donor concert.
This is why we are reaching out to you, friends, colleagues, music and art-lovers!
Please support us! Your financial contributions will be used to:
    • make a recovery from the damages caused by the earthquake
    • keep the music activity of the Institute and resume business activities
    • hire much-needed partners and associates who can help build project documentation.

I can't get enough of 3:44 - 5:58. The Liszt opera transcriptions are so everything.

@@infundomaris, I confirm my previous comment and I also heard a studio recording that ends with minor chords.

@@MaScalo4508 Check the score, it's a G-flat major chord. Period.

@@infundomaris I've heard a STUDIO recording where the piece ends with the same chords, so it might be an Ossia or maybe it's another edition. Period.
