YEAH ! *LA KNIGHT VOICE*
I'm pretty sure Master of Pain was the Undertaker's first ever gimmick in wrestling, and I'm pleasantly surprised that Rampage knows about that. That's a true wrestling fan right there
He was "Texas red" in his first-ever professional match vs Bruiser Brody
(Edit)
Fun fact/weird coincidence= his manager that first night was Percival Pringle III. "Percy" Pringle would later be hired by WWF before being renamed "Paul Bearer" and made the manager of The Undertaker. So Paul Bearer was actually his manager for his first match in the wrestling business (Paul joked in an interview that even Mark/Taker would tell you the only reason he was Mark's manager that match was to show him how to get back to the dressing room after Bruiser Brody beat the hell out of him🤣)
He was the master of pain in the Memphis territory
Rampage was famous for the chain he wore to the ring (& obviously his style+skill) which he did because he was a Junkyard Dog fan!
He knows because he was literally there, not through his knowledge of wrestling.
@@johnhamilton5431 his timeline is off though. When rampage was 17 (1995) undertaker was in the wwe under his current name. He was "master of pain" when rampage was 10-11.
I appreciate his level of self reflection. A lot of people wouldn’t have been able to see it any other way. That’s really cool.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Hell yeah, I really like rampage and the undertaker, 2 of the best at what they do
Everyone would be able to see it any other way.
Taker mentioned in his Hall of Fame speech that back when he was starting out that he could be a bit of an asshole. This is probably an example.
In his early days in WWF, Vince would call him out on it more than once. It was then we would see a change in his attitude.
As you age wisdom changes your viewpoint on life and it's no different from Taker. I'm sure if he went back in time and looked over his shoulder at that situation he would want to slap himself as well, lol.
You could tell how excited he was that the interviewer didn’t know the master of pain while he did. Looked like a giddy kid
Seems like Rampage would have a great territory conversation with Cornette
Rampage in the gangstas him and new jack
The Undertaker recently talked about how he would stay in character all the time. He was so kayfabe that he would deny pictures and autographs when he was portraying a heel, so this might have been one of those occasions.
I would agree with this but then he wouldn't have autographed the white kid's picture.
@@stanleysimmonsreactions9056 like rampage explained, it might not even have been about him being white, it could have just been about the kids age
@@stanleysimmonsreactions9056 don't make it seem racist it's because it was a kid smartass
@@seanking502 you can make all the excuses for the Undertaker that you want. Undertaker was a big kid himself. Big kids know what other big kids look like.
@@NateNizzle 17 ain’t a kid bud try again. Like I said, could have just been about the kids age. Rampage was grown by that point. I’m sure it sucks living a life that you believe everything is about race though.
I hate that Rampage never made the transition fully to pro wrestling after he left the UFC. I remember his brief stint in TNA & how he really didn't do much. He definitely had the charisma for wrestling..
Probably couldn’t move well enough anymore. All them injuries. But he would’ve been a wrestling star. Combine his charisma with like Brock pensar physique
@@ReaperRells yep the man himself said 'pro wrestling is tough'
@@amx1820 From all the injuries I'm pretty sure The UFC is much tougher.. Rampage can't even move around in the ring good cause of the injuries he suffered over the years in the UFC..

@@amx1820 I like to watch events where the fighter wins on their own strengths not picked as the one who wins everything..
I can’t believe that they just glossed over the best part of the story: 20 years later The Undertaker is all geeked out to meet Rampage, and a salty Rampage snubs him. That is GOLD!
Mma and pro wrestling fans need to come together.
There's that promotion called Bloodsport with Jon Moxly
That's the closest thing there is
@@biblicaladrian6007 Jon Moxly is barley Pro Wrestling, let alone anything to do with mma.

taker wasn't known for being approachable in public tho
Not in the wrasslin' biz especially back then, they were determined to keep kayfabe alive that's why today's heels suck
@@ayoitscris Bless MJF for giving that poor Kid that Just wanted a Photo the bird haha
no
I agree no matter how old or young they are because it's the parents that are buying the tickets and bringing their children to the matches.
I bet Undertaker was heel at the time, and due to kayfabe, was staying in character. To the old-school guys, kayfabe was never broken, especially in public.
Quinton is a legend, crazy how Undertaker is the reason he was slamming Arona on his head in Japan.. 🫣
Imagine Rampage Jackson kicking ass in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression
I'd heard this story back when I was a small kid. NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt talked about never missing a chance to sign for a kid. "They might forget that I signed the autograph at some point, but they will never forget that I didn't sign one for them."
Great story and even better analysis and awareness from Mr. Jackson. He is no longer the victim, but understands. That is GROWTH
Yo, don't disregard racism. Just because some of us think on a logical level and can decipher between someone being racist, rude, kayfabe, having a bad day, or like Quinton said, 'An overgrown 17 y/o who looks like an adult.'
That doesn't change the fact that there are racists out there. And not every time someone black calls them out on it, are they being a "victim" or "playing a card" as some of you loved to say.

Rampage would have been an absolute legend in wrestling with the right people showing him the ropes. Dude is a great fighter and hilarious!!!
Rampage is one of the most classiest person ever.
It shouldn’t matter the age, kid or not. A fan is a fan. Respect the fans.
When taker was wrestling as MP he was a Heel and it was the 80s you know Kayfabe and all …
Kayfabe and heels- do not usually respect the fans
The Undertaker is legendary 💯
The undertaker is my favorite wrestler Said 95% of every wrestling fan ever the man is a true icon
Wow what a story! Who knew!!?
A fan is fan no matter how old you are, the people pay to come see you. There was no reason for Taker not to sign his autograph.
Undertaker has always been in big into kayfabe even before undertaker he wouldn’t sign autographs or take photos

Promo wise would be insane

The fact he calls him the master of pain instead of undertaker. Speaks some volumes
They can't be giving us this info and have no interview with rampage and the undertaker... having watching hotboxing tyson and undertaker this would be the best thing ever
Rampage Jackson and the Undertaker can finally officially meet
Funny Undertake story: My dad worked security at this auto auction. Just so happens that the guy he worked with was friends with Undertaker. It’s raining and storming one night and my dad just sees someone in the distance just standing. Hat,long coat..etc. The guy my dad worked with asked him to scare my dad. 😂
That hilarious
Most American (or maybe European) MMA fans, journalists and fighters themselves failed to realize the impact WWF had on the popularization of MMA. In most third world countries the likes of Ken Shamrock introduced MMA via his WWF run
Dana White essentially replicated the culture of the WWE within the UFC. There is no doubt that professional wrestling heavily influenced the UFC. For example, Dana understood that Nate Diaz= Stone Cold Steve Austin, so continued to promote him despite their personal/business issues.
Not to mention that Pride FC was created because a pro wrestler (Nobuhiko Takada) challenged Rickson Gracie to a fight.
With his personality he would have been a legendary wrestler
No wonder he loves that Rampage Slam 💪
Rampage is a legend.
Respect and class.
That’s kind of a sad story. Hopefully all is well between the two.
Probably
Love both of them guy's Rampage & Taker

I met The Undertaker he's a real cool and he gave me his autograph and I'm a black man
Cool because I thought maybe he was a bigot.
Shut up. Everyone experience is different dumb ass
That's crazy because I'm a white guy and don't have his autograph. This is wild
@@michealhill7275 hes racist
The Undertaker's real name is Mark Calaway. But he was known as "Mean" Mark Callous*. He didn't use his real last name as 'Mean Mark' when he was with "Dangerous" Dan Spivey as the duo The Skyscrapers.
He is speaking on Memphis that's before Mean Mark
He's talking about BEFORE WCW
Everyone needs to stop saying the Undertaker was racist or some stupid crap. You have to be a true wrestling fan to know back then in those days heels were never supposed to sign or take pictures, watch a show called Tales from the territories it will explain a lot more about it.
But he did sign an autograph… for the white person

My friend and I met Rampage many years ago. The man was very cool & funny
Mind blowing....
Rampage would've been amazing. I'm from Memphis so Rampage had a special place for me man...and yes I have his autograph lol.
Undertaker , Stone Cold , Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit are my favourites of all time.
At his later years, Taker incorporated more MMA moves to his arsenal
True fan.
I think rampage would have been a mega star in wrestling dudes got personality through the roof
Rampage walking out Wolf-Howling; wearing a big ass Junkyard chain is still some of the best blend between MMA/WWE.
Just theatrical enough but just grounded enough and just enough "Mysticism" to add to the fighters persona.
The shit Izzy does is corny, forced dramatics and cringe.
Rampage has the best powerbomb in history 😂😅
Rampage fn Jackson. This makes me happy
I bump into Rampage in Vancouver downtown HMV store back in 2009. He was a genuine and nice dude. Asked about when he will be fighting Rashard and he said it likely would not happen any time soon. I took out a shitty piece of paper (that was the best thing I got at the moment...I was wearing a black T)and asked for an autograph. He signed it without any hesitation. Good times!
That’s messed up like a soup sandwich Undertaker!!!
With cucumber?
OWWW, A as good story , and the same time, look on the bright side , Rampage is big shot in MMA. god bless him.
Funny how things change when you're famous. I don't see why Taker still didn't sign it for him, a fan is a fan no matter the age.
Could be a lot of reasons, kayfabe reasons (Master of Pain was a heel), Taker didn't want to/wasn't supposed to sign autographs then but made an exception for a kid as Rampage says he himself did in later years. From everything that's been said or written about Mark Callaway, he doesn't seem to be the type to have a celebrity attitude, especially back when he was starting out
Not all fans like pictures, he thought it was just a guy getting in his way. Like if I I saw Undertaker I think I'd just shake his hand and tell him what a legend you are, not that I'm ugly like that.
Only undertaker can answer that. He honestly probably thought Rampage was a grown man. At 17 years old, we are mentally kids. Small things like this affect us, not so much for grown men.
Do you not understand kayfabe? Shut your mouth then
People keep making excuses for taker. “He might’ve thought rampage was a grown man”. But that doesn’t at matter, he’s a fan asking for an autograph. Or they say it was kayfabe, but it couldn’t be they because he gave the kid an autograph. They just don’t want to admit that taker just didn’t fw black fans
He’s perfect mr.t step in
Wow 🤯
My buddy paid for a cameo from rampage, where he had rampage explain to the ladies that they need to look out cuz my buddy's pokemon card collection was so fire.
@1:05 I always knew him as "Mean Mark Callaway"
🤦♂️
My dude, his name was "Mean Mark Callus"
Undertaker should have given 17 year old Rampage an autograph.
Damn dude stole the show😂😂
I think if rampage trained in pro wrestling instead of going to train in MMA he would’ve been a good pro wrestler no cap
Even if he didn’t think he was 17, why would he refuse his autograph request?? Especially as someone who brand new to the business? He should’ve been happy someone appreciated his work.
Pro Wrestling, when trained properly, is like kata training in martial arts.
I've competed in martial arts, muscle memory, but in a pro wrestling match you're slightly running plays and such and the muscle memory is tougher to use.
Fun fact is probably the technical wrestling and catch wrestling is the most legit thing you can practice that can be used in Pro wrestling and MMA
Rampage definitely could have done it. He could talk, he had the look and he's a beast lol
This is a rivalry that dates back before there ever was an undertaker. They couldn't ever write a storyline this epic these days. And not to mention the cross promotion. Tons of money left on the table with this one
Undertaker had black friends through his life so that was stupid

This is cool. When rampage walks out to fight he howls like a wolf/dog and I think that was inspired by the moon dogs lol
And yet he retired from mma and the undertaker was still goimg how crazy is that
When a door is shut a window is opened.
I think that was wrong of Undertaker for not giving him an autograph but the kid he gave. It’s not like Rampage had alot of stuff for him to sign. I get it he doesn’t have to do any of that but still it doesn’t look right.
Rampage should of ended the Undertakers Wrestlemania streak.
Undertaker knew what he was doing
I wouldn’t blame him if he did.
well you guys commit more crime by a longshot so higher chance of being sketchy but he still should of signed it.

The undertaker has been very famous for the last 30 + years lmao gotta love rampage
I ask rampage for a pic one time and he said no but then he changed his mind and still took a picture with me. But I didn't become an MMA fighter tho lol 🤣

You are not a kid kid when you are 17 years old, but bad move of Undertaker assuming he was a fully grown ass man on the other side i i am glad to hear Undertaker prioritise children. 😊
Not bat bad move, rampage said he was big and all muscles and bass voice as well .and you never know pro wrestlers condition for that day they me be full worked up mentally and physically given day. Atleast he had time to sign the little kid.

Everyone went thru Memphis
pro wrestling is actually more dangerous than fighting cause youre not trying to stop the other person from hurting you. youre suppose to go with the move to sell it. and when you have 200 plus pound sacks of meat flying around somethings going to give sooner or later. so hes probably got a lot less injuries than if he had done pro wrestling.
