Finding authentic Maharashtrian food in Delhi is undoubtedly a challenge.
Puran poli looks exactly like bobbatlu/bhakshalu made in Telugu States. We have it with ghee and it tastes great when eaten hot with good amount of ghee on it.
In Telangana (especially border states) we call them poornam polelu. A few of these dishes are actually dishes I grew up with as well. Puri + maamidi rasam, sabudana khichidi. We also eat thaali peeth, we just call it thaali pindi or sarva pindi
So many Punjabis in Ok Tested but still didn't do any video on trying all punjabi food.. Saty and Akshay, waiting for a video solely on Punjabi food... Shower some ghee love and lassi rains with makki ki roti sarso ka saag, alloo paratha/mooli paratha/gobi paratha with butter and curd, aloo stuffed bhature with chole, Rajma Rice, Chole kulche, Nutri Kulcha, halwa poori, Amritsari Kulcha, butter chicken with naan, Tandoori chicken, Homestyle punjabi chicken curry (I can recommend a good one in delhi), Moong daal tadka with rice/roti... endless list. Thalipeeth has a smoky flavour because the atta mix (wheat, jowar, bajri, etc) is pre-roasted..hence the name "bhajani (roasted) thalipeeth". Also, unlike wheat-based rotis like chapati, thepla, or paratha, thalipeeth ko belan se roll nahi kar sakte. Haath se banana padta hai greasy surface par rakhkar (e.g. doodh ke packet ka andar wala hissa), so it takes a lot of practise (and patience!). Aapko thalipeeth Maharashtra mein try karna chahiye. U will definitely love it. In Mumbai, do visit Maharashtrian restaurants like Panshikar, Aswad, Vinay, and others in Marathi-majority areas like Girgaon and Dadar. They serve beautiful, tasty, nutritious, pure veg Maharashtrian dishes like kande pohe, thalipeeth, kothimbir vadi, aamti, patal bhaji, usal, misal, kat vada (batata vada + spicy rassa - yummm!), puran poli, pithala bhakari, shrikhand/amrakhand, sabudana vada/khichdi, puri bhaji, kokam sarbat, solkadi, piyush + numerous "upvas" items + festival specialities like ukdiche modak (during Ganpati). 07:04 That's not a bhajan, that's Ganpati's aatri
Ayeyee sirrr Maharashtra mai Apka Swagat hai 🎉❤we will be Waiting
For the 1st time ever you guys have tried MAHARASHTRIAN food.. I have been following you from past five years. There's so much more that marathi cusions offers. Do try more.. Try 'Vidharbh' another part of Maharashtra. Their authentic 'Saoji 'flavour in non veg will blow you. ❤lots of love
Most of people say that Kolhapuri non veg is so much spicy but they haven't tried Saoji Cuisine from Nagpur. It's more spicier and tastier than Kolhapuri mutton.
I am a Maharashtrian and live in Odisha since fourth generation and grew up in Odisha
Its okay guys, they had what they got in Delhi. Lets appreciate their love towards Maharashtra and our food. We hope you guys will visit us soon and have actual authentic food here!❤
Have you tasted Bombay duck (Bombil curry)
Varan bhaat
Tandalachi bhakri
Misal in Nashik is absolutely mind-blowing🤯😋I would highly encourage you to visit Nashik at least once and try it yourself. I can guarantee that you won't regret it.
Here are a few places where you can find authentic Misal: Grape Embassy, Sadhna Chulivarchi Misal, Shamsundar Misal etc.
❤I loved this video, by the way. I couldn't agree more. Finding authentic Maharashtrian food in Delhi is undoubtedly a challenge.
Hey, me too from nashik

Nashikchi misal mhanje 1 number 🤤😋😋
Nashik misal is best ❤
@@v_v_v_v333bhava maja gaav lagta nashik
Ohhh finally guys.. modak try karna chahiye tha🤞✌️♥️☺️👍
The way he was saying "पुणे ”❤️
As A Maharashtrian You Have missed Many Authentic Dishes.Please do try following items 1.Zunka Bhakar 2.MaasWadi 3.AluWadi 4.Shenguli 5.KothambirWadi 6.SolKadi 7.Piyush 8.MasaleBhaat 9.Ukadiche Modak 10.Muthake 11.BhakarWadi 12.SabuDana Wada 13.DalWada 14.Maharashtrian Tarri Pohe 15.AmtiBhaat 16.VaranBhaat 17.MirchiCha Thecha 18.Kolhapuri Padhara Tambada Rassa 19.Maharshtrian Style Sukhi Bhel 20.Shegaon Kachori
feels so good to see all the maharashtrians in the comment section.
Try these Maharashtrian dishes-
1. Kombdi vade
2. Solkadhi
3. Aamti
4. Ukadiche Modak
5. Kothimbir Vadi

Y'all should do a state to state tour to actually taste authentic cuisine
Please try 🙂
I am delhiite married to a maharashtrian and i can sooo relate with paneer in misal 😂. During my early years of marriage I was once looking for paneer in pattar bhaji thinking it's palak paneer 😂😂.
Oh yes! Do try pattar bhaaji, phodni chi poli ( mummy ki maar se bachne wali dish) , koshimbir, besan pithla and many more
😂😂🤦♀
Ye Pattar Bhaji kya hai and Phodni chi Poli? I am a Maharashtrian myself and never heard of these two.
@@PDA88 pattal bhaji (palak ch gurgata) and phodnichi poli is poli ch churma or poli ch kuchkura
@@shalakakapure3683 Oh accha....I was literally having FOMO 😂
@shalaka thank you so much for explaining and spelling it correctly...this explains that i m a non maharashtrian still learning 😂. Thankfully my Maharashtrian cooking is better than my spellings and pronounciations 😅

I remember when Americans were trying Vada Pav and they’d call it “Wada Pow” and I would always chuckle.
I am south indian live in mumbai and i love pitla bhakri or rice ❤it's my comfort food .my neighbor always give me pitla wherever she makesss .it's my favorite maharashtra food❤😊
Being a Maharashtrian even I'm shocked seeing paneer in usal pav
Pooran poli is always eaten with Aamti (basically chana dal ka paani mixed with ghati masala ) . It’s an amazing combined ever created on earth
1:47 My favourite is Pav Bhaaji because it has a great combination of flavours.

Being maharashtrian so proud 🥲🥲...modak kider he... उकडीचा मोदक try onces
1) Shev bhaji - Bhakari 2) Kanda Pohe 3) Rassa Vada 4) Rassa Pohe 5) Bhajiii 6) Rupesh Misal Thane 7) Appa Misal pune 8) Grass Valley Nashik
Thalipeeth has a smoky flavour because the atta mix (wheat, jowar, bajri, etc) is pre-roasted..hence the name "bhajani (roasted) thalipeeth". Also, unlike wheat-based rotis like chapati, thepla, or paratha, thalipeeth ko belan se roll nahi kar sakte. Haath se banana padta hai greasy surface par rakhkar (e.g. doodh ke packet ka andar wala hissa), so it takes a lot of practise (and patience!). Aapko thalipeeth Maharashtra mein try karna chahiye. U will definitely love it. In Mumbai, do visit Maharashtrian restaurants like Panshikar, Aswad, Vinay, and others in Marathi-majority areas like Girgaon and Dadar. They serve beautiful, tasty, nutritious, pure veg Maharashtrian dishes like kande pohe, thalipeeth, kothimbir vadi, aamti, patal bhaji, usal, misal, kat vada (batata vada + spicy rassa - yummm!), puran poli, pithala bhakari, shrikhand/amrakhand, sabudana vada/khichdi, puri bhaji, kokam sarbat, solkadi, piyush + numerous "upvas" items + festival specialities like ukdiche modak (during Ganpati). Source: I am a Girgaonkar, born and bred and Maharashtrian food is one of my favourites 😊
You should definitely come to Pune (OK Tested x Bhadipa collab running in my mind rn😭😭)
Anyway, the food culture in Maharashtra is too good to be missed out on. There are some very old, authentic places in Pune where people come from the other end of the city for just ONE dish.
You must have tried the nan khaliya mannnnnn its just mind blowing❤❤❤
You should definitely come to Maharashtra and then eat here. It's simply amazing and mind blowing ❤
