There's a glitch in melee with Ness that essentially allows you to place a hitbox with yo-yo, and if you do an attack the hitbox will travel from where it was to you, so you can hit people if they're between you and the hitbox
An extension of this is the various jackets ness can have
The best part about this glitch is how it’s tournament legal. Imagine competing in a melee tournament and some random person in pools whips this out on you
And even better, this insane glitch still does not help Ness at all simply because the yo-yo is hard to apply and then you have to apply the effect you want for the jacket.

There’s the thunder jacket which attaches a hitbox onto you and the something line (I forgot what it was called).
Hey Poppt! AsumSaus enjoyer here! The Melee Ness Tech you saw ~10:30 is called the Yo-Yo Glitch, where you slightly charge upsmash then release and hit something.
The first 2 grabs are done with the Deadline. The Deadline is an extension of YYG, where for the first frame of a move's hitbox activation, there is a line of a hitbox from Ness to the place where the Yo-Yo was.
The ending glitch was the Jacket. The Jacket is another extension of YYG and Deadline. You perform YYG, then perform the Deadline with down-air and land on the first active frame of the hitbox. This attaches down-air's hitbox to Ness.
What is that introduction? Average poppit1 fan vs the average AsumSaus enjoyer? Don’t get me wrong, i have watched all of his videos, but still.

Been here since you first looked at hikasan, so glad to see you’re coming back to watching him, he’s amazing
19:26 there's a Splatoon clip. I've been playing Splatoon since 2 came out in July 2017 so here's a quick breakdown:
There's a mechanic called a super jump where you can pull up a map and jump to the exact location of a teammate. However EVERYONE can see the marker that it leaves (unless you got an ability called Stealth Jump but it only hides your marker to players far away) meaning that if you get spotted by an enemy you will probably die. Hikasan saw the marker and since they were playing a charger (it's the game's version of a sniper but you have to charge your shot for it to have max range and damage) they could one-shot the jumper. However, instead of just shooting the jumper, Hikasan did a 360
Splatoon explanations! 19:30 this is a 360. You need to do a huge tilt on your controller for these, and it is not easy, trust me. Same at 20:45 . The other plays are a fall off shot (hard to do and rarely works), Zipcasters in enemy lines (Really hard to survive even with the slight armor), and just good snipes.
The splatoon clips are hikasan flicking his controller with motion controls and hitting a very precise hitbox which is very hard to do with a sniper weapon.
Ness in melee has a Glitch where if you yoyo in certain conditions, it attach an hitbox on the stage at the yoyo spot that stays here. Then if Ness does a move the hitbox will bé from Ness to the initial yoyo point si you can grab from vers far, downair from vers far, etc... Ness Can also attach the yoyo hitbox at him and thé hitbox will be the one from the last move Ness did on the yoyo point (for exemple dair at 12:28 that is why Falcon gets spiked : the dair was attached to Ness)

Everyone's talking about the Melee Ness glitch, so I'll take my time to explain what happened in those splatoon clips.
There were 4 sniper clips if I'm not mistaken. 2 clips included violent camera shakes, what happened there were trickshots for style.
The other clips were of him consistently taking out the enemy team.
There were 2 shooter clips. In these clips he just went made a Wipeout (this happens when the entire enemy team is splatted, it can be a team effort and still count), or took out the majority of the team in a crucial moment (a team was about to get a KO, I don't remember if it was on defense or offense, still pretty neat!)
The other clip revolved around the use of a special weapon, Zipcaster. This power lets you become Spider-Man for short period of time and attack. However, in this clip he only used the R button, which lets you extend your arm and pull yourself to that spot. It has invincibility frames and does damage if you go through enemies, but it's nowhere close to what your regular weapon would do. Again, another clip of him styling on the enemy team.
on the snipe did he 360 before?
No, he didn't. I'm on mobile so I didn't rewatch the video, but I'm sure the clip had him doing either a 90 or 180 degrees. It wasn't a full rotation.
Still impressive. I have played these games since 2016 and I have never gone for the stylish kills. It's not worth the risk.

I would assume the area with the animation going on is the place where you could place your reacting camera in a way that it's not in the way of the clips.

The explanation of what Ness is doing in the melee clips is that Melee is a broken buggy glitch-fest that Ness can uniquely take advantage of, if you go through like 5 separate steps to set them up. Of course, this is no problem for Hikasan.

10:41 that clip was amazing and the reason why he grab Falcon when he was no where close to ness was the yo-yo glitch. The yo-yo glitch sticks on to the center of ness feet and any action will hit, grab, or stay there for a long time. This was banned in tournaments because how overpower it was. That’s what most of the melee ness clips are.

Arceus will automatically spike any opponent not touching the ground so he got sent straight down because of Gravity.

6:12 So I’ve been TRYING to learn some Japanese. I’m still really bad since it’s only been a little over 24 hours since I’ve started, but those characters on the right look like the Hiragana characters for “i” “mi” “a” and I THINK that last one is “ru”. Using a quick dictionary, “imi” appears to mean “meaning” and “aru” carries the sense of “to be, to live, to exist”. So… looks like he hit that nasty combo and the reaction was just “What’s the point of living? Why do I exist?”
