Die hard islanders fan. Extremely justified, love Roy for this. Hope he doesn't get canned for Lou's failure to construct a team (injuries dont help, but everyone else has them too)
If the team doesn't win, it's the coach that goes before anyone else. So if I have your take correctly, you want the owners to can Lou and promote Roy to GM?
@MisterMister5893 not particularly. The main two issues with the team; the third period collapses and special teams being a black holes have been a problem before Roy. Started at the end of Barry's tenure, felt exacerbated under Lambert, and just seems to continue under Roy. If it's the same issue under three different coaches, it seems more like a roster construction problem then coaching. Honestly either the team just isn't built well to play competitive hockey in the modern NHL or the problems are between the ears of the players and they are just finding ways to lose
Even before Roy came on board, the Islanders had big issues holding onto leads and losing games they were leading going into the 3rd period. So Roy has every right to raise his voice and call out the team! It becomes a very bad habit if the team regularly keeps having the same issue. It takes a lot more than the goalie to fix the problem of blowing leads. In the Islanders case, their goal scoring is inadequate which puts more pressure on their team defense/goaltending.
Offensively, they started really well this season, then Duclair, quickly after Barzal, & then Mike Reilly 2 days later all got injured long-term & they are all key parts of the offense, including 2 1st-liners & a puck-moving defenseman
It's not about Vegas's d-men, but a mental thing. Jets either don't believe enough they can beat Vegas or it's just one of those things for whatever reason Vegas gets the best of the Jets. Jets had a 2-1 lead and blew it. You want to be the best and beat the best, then you have to hold onto leads or build your leads even bigger to win games.

Roy's right. It's not just the stats, it's a bad habit on the entire team, and almost blew the game for them
The jets blew the line change
He won’t be out very long.
Soooo is nobody gonna talk about the French guy being a Lizzid Peeple?!
You mean the way Patrick speaks with his tongue protruding like. a lizard ?
