Excellent description of the Anker 5 port device. I have tried cheaper brands that have no weight to them and none of them are any good. I now use this Anker 5 port one and have not had a problem with it. You can feel the difference alone just by the weight It feels solid and well made.
Powerport + 5 has USB type C PD (power delivery) port. This port can be useful for charging MacBook. Also, this charger does not support QC 3.0 fast charging technology. It has its ankers own power iq technology for efficient charging. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😊👍🙏
Hey there! I think you should be able to charge. Atleast it works for my ipad air, that uses usb to lightning port cable. I believe iPhoneX also uses the same cable. So it should ideally work. However, I am not sure how fast it can charge. (I don't have an iPhoneX).
Hi! Your video review is very helpful! Wondering if the device battery is reaching 100%, how much energy the charger consumes? Is it really safe compared to the original charger? Thanks!
Hi there! Thank you 🙂 When the device is fully charged, it will be as good as no device connected. I haven't measured the power consumption. But just going by the working principle of qc3.0 chargers. The charger and the device communicate with each other to reduce or increase the voltage and current according to the percentage of battery charged. Its a standard of communication across all devices that are qc3.0 compliant. So it should be as safe to use. I am not sure of the non qc3.0 usb ports, how they work and perform, as I haven't used it much. I use non qc3.0 ports for other devices like powering a usb speaker, led strip lights etc. Hope this helps.
When I charge my smartphone that uses QC3 usb outlet, it gets a bit warm. If low power consuming devices such as a USB speaker, USB monitor, connected to the PowerIQ ports, it does not get warm. stays cool. I think, if its just warm, it is normal.

Thanks for the detailed measurements. I’m wondering how the Anker Powerport 5+ does?

Hello, how does the surface of this charger get hot when charging 5 devices at the same time?
It gets warm. But not very hot. I think it is normal to get warm as the power consumption is more.
Hello there, I have a question about it.
Is it possible to charge an iPhone X with this ANKER POWER PORT SPEED 5?

Impossible, because an iphone is to expensive for what you get and the anker iq recognize an bad phone
