You mean he does stuff that literally any pro could do, but chose not to for obvious reasons.
He makes it look so effortless, that you have to watch in slow motion to appreciate how complex and precise his skating is. But then in normal frames per second he's just goin' with the flow like it ain't no thang... all while dressed as casual pirate.
Skill, style and balance that transcend time. This is the best skater I've had the opportunity to watch since Rodney Mullen

its disliked because somebody made a low quality 10 minute video of all old fottage while titling it "2018", we thought we were seeing something new but just somebody probably trying to monetize old videos.

I haven't skated since High School which was like 15 years ago, but watching Richie makes me want to buy a deck, get oit there and have fun. Clearly he skates for the fun of it and doesn't care about the "I need to risk my well being to get noticed" mentality.

I've heard people make negative comments about what this dude does but it's so fun to watch and I imagine he's having a blast being so creative. That's what it's all about. In a world with a billion skateboarders you gotta stand out.

I never thought that any one could surpass Rodney Mullen when it comes to orginality and impossible tricks. I thought I would just not be possible. But then I saw Richie Jackson. Instant fan.. 44 year old and really itching to buy a skateboard again after seeing this video. What a hippie skateboard hero!

Never mind the fact that Richie is the fifth member of Greta van Fleet, this guy is ridiculously creative! I'm an 80's skater and occasionally check out current goings on in the scene. This popped up in my recommended so i clicked on it. I honestly could care less how anyone dresses when they skate or otherwise. This dude is just pure joy to watch! Somebody else here commented about Rodney Mullen, one of my heros, and i applaud the comparison. Richie is way more street oriented, but both soooo inventive and imaginative in thier own rights. I hope Richie continues skating, i need more of these videos!!
Watching Richie Jackson on acid makes me question if there are any limits on the creativity of skateboarding or humanity in general. He's definitely one of the most creative and consistently entertaining skaters since the OG Rodney Mullen. I'll watch tons of skate videos where I can instantly name every trick they do or see skaters do tricks that I've seen done often, but with Richie, it's like I wonder if I'm even watching skateboarding. It definitely seems like an artist painting a surrealist piece for him.

Thanks man, you're the only person to mention Rodney. I'm tired of hearing everyone describe Richie as genius because he can slip on a metal plate and roll on a table. Rodney remains and will remain the most creative skater in history simply because he's the one who invented most of the tricks that exist and even more than anyone else could, even today. There are no new tricks in this video, these are just acrobatics, and most of the tricks are Rodney's inventions that get to do better ... tired of this generation that gobbles buzz video and marvel in front of nothing because they are too lazy to inquire or look elsewhere ...
This is probably the most unique and creative artist/athletes that I’ve ever watched. I bet that he is loving life. That’s a gift...and he’s been able to nurture and grow. I can’t wait to see a video on him in 2 years. Game changer.
Granted I haven't really followed a lot of skateboarding in the past 10-15 years, but this is some of the coolest, most creative shit I've seen since Rodney Mullen.

It Was The quality of the video that gave it away for me. That and if you look closely there is other people in the background with small gopro or small gopro like camera's .

This is the craziest shit I have ever seen. I had fallen asleep in my cpu chair in front of my cpu. I wake up and I immediately see this as one of the video options that TH-cam is giving me. I watch quite a few skating videos on YT so this is typical. But that is where all sense of normalcy ends as I click to watch it...... and I swear Ive been wondering if Im still in a dream as I watch this skater who looks like no other skater I have ever seen, pull off some of the most amazing and unique street tricks that would make Rodney Mullen shake his head in wonderment. This is simply an astonishing style of skating.
One of the best Skate videos I have seen, this guy has a style like no other, very unreal tricks, smooth like the board does exactly what he wants it to do at all times. Great video
3:16 the board just suddenly stops spinning...is he a magician or did I miss something? lol
If you watch closely his right foot just clips the board enough to slow the spin down. Must've taken ages to perfect that trick, so much to think about 🤔
