My little sister used to paint my nails for me, when we were growing up. Next, I got hooked on going for manicures, but that can get expansive. After retiring from teaching, I got my own UV Kit. I have very little experience. It takes me forever to fix my mistakes, but when done, it lasts 2 weeks. Your video offered several helpful tips. Thanks!!
Since I can remember I have always been a nail biter. I have said for my New Years resolution 4 years straight that I will stop biting my nails. I have failed every time. Today, I have decided that, yes, I am going to stop biting my nails forever. I have only done this because I found this video and seen that I could paint my nails like this too. It is certainly harder than it looks. It's kind of like watching a youtube video of someone drawing. They make it look super easy and then go to do it and some how it just doesn't look the same. There is an "art" or much finesse needed to do them well. I paint my nails twice a week at least and have done so for years and I still struggle sometimes. But, with much practice most of the time I think I paint them better than a lot of people in nail salons do.

Yep, every single day. I use gel polish and found the 'wipe on side of brush' and the 'dot' of polish has made an amazing difference to the finished look and shortens application time. Thank you from the UK.

Omg I'm the same way, my mom always makes fun of me for it lol but it bugs me if I don't get every part of my nail covered in nail polish.
You aren't supposed to cover every spec of your nail. they're should be a very small area near the cuticle and on the edges of your nail where there isn't supposed to be any polish. This look is preferred for just about anyone who paints their nails and are over the age of 14, which is probably why you were called "too young" Yes, you may be old enough to use nail polish, but it seems you are still pretty young if you're painting your WHOLE nail.

One problem I always face when painting my nail is painting my right hand. This is because my right hand is my dominant hand. And so that makes it difficult to paint my right hand. Any tips and tricks for painting the non dominant hand?
if your very bad with your left hand, try to hold the nail polish brush steady and then move your right hand (the one that you are painting) instead of your left. so when you have to swipe up with the poilish brush, move the finger you are painting. does that make sense? i hope it does. xx
It takes time I'm 12 yr old and it takes time to do it perfectly and neatly on both hands. Trust me u will get there, good luck!

I absolutely suck at painting my nails and my nails a short and they break so easy, so i started getting acrylics which made them even worse. I have stopped for 2 months now and i was wondering if you have any tips on making them stronger?
There are nail polishes out there that help by making you nails stronger.
Lara Hawatmeh prenatal vitamins ALWAYS made my nails strong, long and beautiful. Hope that helps you girl
There are a a lot of strengthening polishes. I know that sounds counterproductive but they work! And soaking your nails in vitamin e water works great!
Lara Hawatmeh I recommend Nailtiques FORMULA 2+ nail protein, you apply it a coat to your nails every day, just layering on the coats, no other nail polish, and after a week your nails should be much much better. You can find it online or at Ulta. If you want a video on it, there's a girl on youtube Arcadianailart and she talks all about it, I've used it myself and it works wonders.

Melissa Jure They do not get damaged actually. Fact says if your nails are yellow, that doesn't effect your health or nails. Nail polish also keeps the good oils in your nails. Plus, why should I not do my nails everyday? I don't see the point in not. It doesn't really do anything. My mom says it does, but by watching videos about it all the time says it really doesn't effect anything.
+Lady Aj A friend of mine actually had to go to a "nail doctor" because her nails hurt when she didn't wear nailpolish. It hurt so much she cried. Then when she put it back on, it didn't hurt anymore.You should give your nails a break once in a while. Maybe just 2 days a week. :)

Going Berserk Yes, with acetone is horrible xD. Chipping them doesn't affect anything (effect if I got that wrong.) I can't wear nail polish everyday now, but I can wear base coat. Nail polish actually helps your nails, well prevents them for breaking in the winter and such. Nail polish just has a spot deep down in my heart!

I would think any citrus would work. Citrus of all kinds contains the same antibacterial properties.

To dry ur nails really fast get a bowl full it up halfway then add 3-5 ice cubes
When ur done soak ur nails in the bowl for about a minute
P.s. Prepare this before u start painting ur nails

When removing polish, best to use non woven, lint free 2x2 squares. Dry manicures give lasting polish adherence. Just a few tips from professional nail tech😊 You did an awesome job polishing, clean and perfect💅
If you are questioning these tips don't! I used them for my 8th grade graduation and someone actually asked me if they were professional gel nails, then the next day they last through an entire cedar point trip, I used OPI polish, this girl knows what she's taking about.
