I swear I rock with these guys, but this is the most childish conversation. If you get to the point where you need a break, then it is called a breakup. Usually, it is one person who initiates a break, most likely because they want to sleep with other people. And to think you are going to lockdown or control who your ex sleeps or conversates with is crazy. You can't own a person. Look, I'm grown. If my partner approaches me about some "break" nonsense, then I will proceed to do what I want. Don't talk to me about any rules.

I've never done all that break stuff it's always been on or off. But men and women are bound to see it differently. I can't think of any man who would hear her say "yh I'm gonna go get my back blown while we're on this break" and for him to say "OK bet, see you in couple months let's pick up where we left off."
Breaks are for when you are young like you and your college girl both going home for the summer you y'all don't live close. Or it's for very specific occasions where you and your partner are in a good space but are forced to be apart. Anything other than that, y'all need to break up do your own thing. And if y'all link up later, what ever the other person did is none of your business unless it's something your partner will have to deal with.
