- This spread provides you with a self-portrait of the archetypal energies in your day at the time of the layout. Each placement has a meaning. The cards are drawn out of three piles with the center pile used to draw cards for placement 2 & 3. The third pile is where you draw the last card from for postion number 4. This sprung an idea to take daily readings further ( top car in the middle could also be: what mindset will best benefit my day today?) bottom middle card could be; what mindset should I avoid today? And the left card could be ;what mindset/energy should I leave behind? And right card: what mindset/energy should I embrace today? ❤ ty for this spread

After shuffling the cards, lay the pile down. With your left hand, cut the cards to the left in three piles. I happy to know you found this video helpful.

I followed along and got Wheel of Fortune for what I could achieve and the Hierophant for what I am seeking. I thought that that was interesting that you drew those in different placements on the spread.
HI Brooke, Yes it was interesting. Have to say that with the Wheel of Fortune on "what I could achieve" puts you in a position to accomplish a great deal at this time. Body is on the left, min in the middle and spirit on the right hand side. So; body goes into 'Where I am now", Mind goes into 2.What will help me move forward and 3. What am i seeking and Spirit goes into 4. What can i achieve/create??

Hello Carol! Great video that I was able to learn a great deal from as someone that is new to tarot, thanks for that! I was wondering, was it a coincidence that all of the cards you drew were upright and none were inverted? Or do you intentionally set all of your cards upright? From my learnings so far, I know that there are different meanings for the same card if it is upright than if it is inverted. I’m still new so I’m not sure if some people only work with upright cards. Thanks a bunch!

It was by chance that all the cards were up right. I do not stack my cards.

Interesting you identify the vertical line as "energy within, the masculine force" what one needs to do inwardly. I have always thought of inwardly, inner work as being a feminine energy. Would you explain your concept?

You are correct in the concept of inner work being a feminine energy. Directions, and layout of some Tarot Spreads use the esoteric meanings. The inner force or desire to do comes from within and we create, expel and hope to manifest outwardly.

Thank you for a great video. I like how you lay out to remind us what each card spot refers to and how to connect them together. Question, when shuffling does one ask your question and also tell tarot card you are doing a four card spread vs the beginners 3 card spread? And what type of spread? How would the card know what card to present than?
Hi Y. Sharp, I would like to begin answering that question with information about the tarot cards and a tarot reader. Yes, you can silently ask the question over and over in your mind as you are shuffling the cards, yet it is not necessary to be specific and tell the cards what type of spread you are going to be using. The method I use and teach is to give the power to the Tarot. By that I mean I say the following as I am shuffling the cards. "The Wisdom of The Tarot" or I'll say: "The Truth To Be Revealed." Secondly, as a tarot reader, practitioner handles and works with the cards on a continues basis, there is a connection and link that is formed. That link is unconsciously working and the cards begin to speak to the reader without specifics. Yet, its important to ask a question without conditions or explanations.

Hi Becca, Yes and I am sorry for that being the case. The way I cut the cards are always the same. After shuffling I placed them on the table and with my left hand cut the cards three time to the left. Sometimes I pull cards from each pile and others I restack the cards from right pile to left. your deck. Do u turn from left to right ? Or flip cards from bottom to top from the deck ? Does my question make sense ?
Hi Ed, Absolutely your questions not only makes sense but is important as I will explain. I turn the cards from left to right. Since I read reverse Tarot cards, if I turned them from bottom to top, my pile would be influence by reversing a card that was indented to be upright. It all depends on the reader and your intention with how you cut and place the cards to be read. Ed, thank you for watching my video and subscribing to my channel!

The position of “ what will help me move forward?” Is showing you something relating from the past that you can use, considering or finishing processes which will be beneficial as you go forward. The “what am I seeking- may need is in an for the immediate future. It could be a quality, skill, emotion, information etc. I hope this helps you understand a bit more. 🙏

I am just starting out I am wondering how to focus on each question in a spread? When I shuffle and cut for the spread should I ask each question in the spread out loud? Do sprit guides know the layout after I know or create the layout by writing it down or something? I'm more of a fan of general readings of questions having things just come out but I want too be more organized.
Hi K, Thank you for watching. Yes, for this spread you just ask the question for each position out loud. You ask the question when you are ready to pick the card form the pile and lay it down it the specific placement. As for what the Spirt Guides know, I can not truly answer that question for you. The relationship you have with them is personal and tailored to your growth and learning. Yes, it is wise to write down the layout and the cards you chose in a Tarot Journal. Don't worry to much about getting it "right". Shuffle with a clear mind and then ask each question and let the cards speak to you. Writing down your very first impression is an excellent way to by-past the mind. Hope this is helpful and let me know if you need anything else answered. Enjoy. Blessings

@@a.4478 Thank you for the clarification. My approach on addressing relationship in a tarot reading involves the entire spread. The client having a reading may wish to know about his or her relationship in the present past and possible future. What I believe you are requesting is whether or not there is someone ready to approach you or if someone will be approaching you. That type of inquiry can be answered with a simple yes or no spread. If, the cards answer yes, that someone is approachable or is ready to meet with you, then you can evaluate the cards which came out to see if any are court cards. (People-personality). If a court card did surface, take that card out, place all the other cards back in the deck. Reshuffle the cards and then ask a question you have concerning the possibility of this
relationship in the future etc.
