Look at the first world trade centre bombing where the FBI were caught to have created and carried out the entire operation from the making of the terrorists to the making of the bombs and the whole plot all along. Look up Operation Northwoods too where they show they are willing and able to carry out operations like this on their own people.

stephen stewart His entire point, along with the entire plot of his movie, answers that question. The FBI target these pathetic social outcasts, plans out a terrorist attack, psychologically influences them to carry it out, supplies them with all the technical know how and all the supplies, then arrests them as they start to carry it out. It’s the manipulation of previously non-dangerous idiots into carrying out a literal terrorist attack, just so the FBI can look like they’re good at catching terrorists. How do you not have a problem with that?

"I don't really see the point of comedy unless there's something underpinning it. I mean what are you doing? Are you doing some kind of exotic display for the court, to be patted on the head by the court, or are you trying to change something? The problem is that I think we've got used to a kind of satire which essentially placates the court. You do a nice dissection of the way things are in the orthodox elite, and lo and behold, you get slapped in the back by the orthodox elite who say 'jolly good, can you do us another one'. That's not what it is about so in a way these times should bring on something with a bit more clout. It's about the thrust, and it's really about whether the people you're lancing can get off your spike." - Chris Morris
Perfectly said about the point of satire and why so many satires fall flat if they just placate or just roast the court.

Chris Morris takes satire too seriously now, though, doesn't he? Utopian thinking like "it can change society" etc. has meant that his work has lost its comedy. I have great respect for what Chris Morris does. He's a great artist who, like many others, feels inspired by current events and imagines he is making some sort of a difference in the cosmic scheme. As I get older i do start to realise there is a big difference between those who are charged with great responsibilty to lead a country, or run the FBI or lead a police force, and those who are critics of these huge organisations. It's all very well to sit on the side and say how stupid those in power are, but it's quite another to step up and take responsibility to try to do something about it yourself. Morris gives the impression that the real problems in society are that those in power are either evil or stupid, and doesn't seem to realise that there are really difficult obstacles to solve in society and also that there are problems in the world that do not find their source with the rich and powerful white guys running the show. This is essentially the problem with the class of people Morris belongs to, the over-educated left wing artistic bubble. Also, to answer one of his questions directly, the point of comedy without a political message is to make people laugh and increase the overall joy in the world, and what is a more noble cause than that?

    Very insightful.
The point of channel 4 (for me) is now long form reporting (published on TH-cam). Keep at it - the worth of news is more than ever but it has to change. Ch4 is getting it better than most.

I see no validity in this media group's reporting of any subject. The constant smears of bigotry as a driving force with President Trump grow tiresome. Do some research.
There is no serious problem with the merely 8000 strong avowed white nationalists in the US because they have no skill, no clout, no respect and no organization. Sadly, most exist as a protective shield against the muslim brotherhood in pentatenturies. The KKK has been defunct for decades but for media inflation and only had a dozen or so show up to march at the 2nd anniversary of Charlottesville. It is a manufactured problem. Black separatists far outnumber them and MS13 is the real boogeyman to fear.
Contrary to the presses assertions, President Trump has publicly and formally disavowed those wastes of space on at least 4 occasions if not many more at his rallies. The press lies to smear Trump because they cannot control him and his policies are building prosperity for the most vulnerable and the poorest which disempowered their political ally. Their are no journalism ethics nor impartiality anymore, certainly not in this space.
The media lie daily in order to make money off of your anger and fear. You are greedily sucking up the incessant rage and race baiting because it gives you a dopamine hit and makes you feel superior to 99% of the world. You don't fact check, you rely on the carefully edited, twisted and out of context sound byte these globalist press elite cliques offer you.
White supremacists are unfortunately more effective at mayhem and are able to carry out their intended evil than say Antifa. Antifa are bigoted, bumbling, rich white college kids with nothing better to do than hate anyone who isn't their cult. They haven't been smart enough to effectively carry out their murder but they commit hate crimes daily all over the world and their attacks are escalating in magnitude. 3 attacks by rifle and firebomb were carried out by Antifa on illegal immigrant facilities this year because of AOC's concentration camp rhetoric. No legacy media covered this because it went against the preferred narrative of hating non existant white bigots.
The media elite, like this channel, exclusively amplify every white supremacist attack with 24/7 worldwide fear mongering headlines, while hiding all mention of Antifas attacks. That is not the hallmark of a competent news station.
So this news company you so admire is fomenting bigotry and directing your hate towards the ineffective while smearing daily an entire race of which you are most likely a part.
I find the interviewee to be motivated by the same self loathing. His main thesis, that the clear and present danger that is the Islamic ideology and its fundamental inability to coexist with western liberalism can be boiled down to merely incompetent "othering" is ludicrous on its face.
No matter the cause, direct and indirect, blame for an atrocity in the name of Allah can only laid at the feet of those who commit the atrocity.
His assumption of bigotry playing the main role in the failures of the FBI is disturbing by implication rather than by fact. They have been proven to be been politicized in their presidential coup attempts, so the story may have kernels of truth amidst all the intersectional victim vs. power nonsense that has infected the United Kingdom and rotted any common sense and wisdom it had once held claim to.

Channel news 4 is far too biased to be a relevant news programme. I find the entire tone of the programme quite unbearable, news programmes should be unbiased.
