Garrett, Thanks so much for this vid(& all the ones you put out)! Batman '89 has always been one of my favorite movies. I remember being in line, in anticipation to watch it. Such a nostalgia trip! Just like a lot of us, I had/have so much Batman memorabilia/toys/merch. One thing I remember having back then, that no one I knew ever had(or at least, admitted to lol), was a pair of converse high top Batman sneakers, which had the Bat logo all around it. lol
That’s so sick and thank you for the rad words and all the support. That’s why I continue to try to come up with some interesting and creative content for you all. 🤜🤛
Fun video!! Michael Keaton is the man!! He will always be my Batman.
Heck yes!
For the record I was indeed the other die hard 89 fan who ended up with that Batman 89 Diet Coke standee promo.
lol wow! That’s soo sick. Well I’m happy you came and checked this out.
@Born2BeRad Me and Justin go way back, so this was a must watch.
@@LoganWood121thx so much. Appreciate you stopping by. Stick around as we have some more stuff in the works.
I saw this opening night at the Southview Drive-In in Indianapolis, which is no longer there. We had a couple of families all together to see it. It was such an awesome experience. I can also remember having the Batman, Joker and Batmobile posters in my room and the VHS is one of the very first I ever got for myself and was the start of what would be my current physical media collection. I also loved the Prince album!
I was 14 when Batmania took over the world! I can still remember all the hype and seeing the Bat symbol EVERYWHERE and on EVERYTHING! It was a great time.
Heck ya! Great time to be alive
Many years ago I also bought a reissue of the model kit Batmobile and gave up halfway never finished it off, I had no idea you had to paint details on it and shave off the excess plastic bits here and there.
Hahahaha. Bro. It was Brutal lol. Thx so much for checking this out. Hope you enjoyed.
A masterpiece of a film 📽️🎥
💯. Thx so much for checking this out. 🤜🤛
@@Born2BeRad Damn Skippy
We also got Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier that summer.
Btw, Honey I Shrunk The Kids came out the same day as Batman in 1989 and I still remember how big both were!
Have you guys ever seen the Diet Coke ad for Batman 1989? Such a fun ad!
The one w the can w the cape?
@@Born2BeRad yup Alfred is calling the store saying they’re on their last Diet Coke. My dad could only drink Diet drinks because of his diabetes but he drank Diet Pepsi. I was the one drinking Diet Coke lol.
Ironically, there’s also a Diet Coke Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade ad from 1989 too!
I just "pushed" play. Seeing the Batman logo as the background, it always confused me aa to why they used that symbol? The symbol in the actual movie has pointy bat-feet next to the tail.
Oh, shoot, not two minutes in and you're wearing the shirt.
Hahaha. Yep
Thing is, I don't consider that extra feet. The two points on the side are still part of the wing. The point in the center is the tail. The two poking from the tail are the only actual feet I have ever seen on a Batman symbol.
@@Born2BeRad Almost six minutes in and I am surprised you didn't realize that the symbol wasn't carried over to Returns. I was always ticked off as a child because of that. I was so used to the newer symbol because I watched the 89 Batman so often before Returns came out. And the strange fact that the suit made for Returns no longer has the same look, nor armor in the sequel. It happens all the time, though.
I believe your friend is getting at BPD (borderline personality disorder) or DID (dissociative identify disorder) when the person seems to have different personalities or they have issues with abandonment and they push possible relationships away. The word is sometimes called splitting. They seem to be two totally different people but they are just trying to hide one aspect of their lives. Now, no psychologist here, so don't take what I say as anything more than an opinion.
To me, Bruce Wayne is mostly a psychopath who is determined to do something similar to that of a police officer or a firefighter. Some people who are classified as having psychopathy don't have a sense of fear nor much empathy. Though the idea of him being a crime fighter and having a sense of morality can kind of crush the idea of psychopathy. But to me there are definitely characteristics of psychopathy in Wayne.
Although The Joker also has this trait, their different backgrounds created what they became, not to mention their personality and pathology.
If Wayne grew up around the Mafia like The Joker did, he would have probably been much more violent towards the public. But he's pretty much just violent towards those he perceives as villains due to the instillation of values his parents have. But Wayne could be seen as someone very close to the antisocial aspects of psychology.
Schizophrenia comes with auditory hallucinations and delusions. If Wayne were experiencing that, he wouldn't actually be Batman. He'd think he was Batman.
Contemplating if I should pick up this up on 4K does anyone know if it's a good transfer and sound
Here’s the thing with the 4k besides it having a blue tint. They did change the sound effects such as the gun shots etc I know a lot of fans didn’t like that.
We talk about it. He said they messed w the pic a bit and the audio has been all re done. I’d say keep the blu. But he did say the new digi code from the 4k at least keeps the original audio.
Beetlejuice isn't out for awhile, they may have promotional merchandise coming. Spirit already puts out a ton of Beetlejuice merchandise even before this new film. So does Hot topic.
Prob will
What’s up I’m here
Heck, yeah bro. Hope you like it.
Avengers Endgame was a pretty big comparable Blockbuster. Marketing and hype was everywhere. Early screenings were sold out. The talk of social media. People who weren't even comics people who hadn't seen all the prior movies got into it.
Yea idk. I never saw it
Why does the poster in the background have Nicholson's name but appears to be a Batman Returns poster?
I think those are standees in front of a poster. Thx so much for checking this out. Appreciated
Please, BATMAN is BATMAN ".
Hollywood almost Killed BATMAN.
No tim Burton?
What about him ? 🤷🏻♂️
