Mine to Jerry I definitely understand! She has endured a lifetime of living.Born in 1919.That is amazing!I can only imagine everything that her eyes have seen started from a little girl up until now. What a blessing and what a amazing testimony that she has given and shown all of us.
Thank you Miss Pauline Patton for being one of many responsible for me as a woman and as a black woman to have the right and the freedom to vote. You are truly appreciated and respected.God bless you beautiful queen 👑.
I'm an old fool for crying, lol, but I find it very moving to see the younger generations of this family who so clearly understand & value their elder's precious legacy. Pauline Patton you're an inspiration! And the lessons you've learned live on in your loving family 💖
Lynn thank you for saying that! I love it when you said "for putting Kamala Harris in the White House".Lynn my mother use to say "speak what you seek until you've seen what you said". Lynn I know that Kamala Harris is already there. Its got her name on it.
Thank you Mrs Patton...may the good Lord bless you...this bring back memories of taking my parents to vote in 2008 for President Obama...sadly their both in Heaven now looking down at us💔😭🕊🕊🕊
Thank you, tears in my eyes too! Think of all that this beautiful grandmother has lived thru, all the sacrifice and struggles she has seen and made....and what a precious moment after all that for her to be able to cast her vote for a presidential candidate "who looks like her"....yes, as Michelle Obama recently said, progress takes decades....it's not fast....but sweet things come to those who are patient and who fight for progress....and she surely has....and she surely deserves this moment!! How lucky we are to witness the elder greatness usher in new greatness - Blessings!
My grandmother was 23 when women got the right to vote. She said the feeling of voting for who she wanted was something she never forgot or took for granted. She instilled in me that voting was a privilege you didn't take lightly and it was your duty to let your voice be heard.
I did the same with my mom last election. She was 91, could no longer sign, but loved Joe Biden. So we made it possible. Then when Joe and Kamala won and they were on the stage on tv my mom told me the event was happening in her garage and I'd better make up more beds!. She called trump the bad man who was bothering everybody. She would love Kamala. They both have smiles that brighten the heart.
We all need to go out and make sure Miss Pauline gets her wish for President!! Vote Blue on Tuesday and dedicate it to her and all the Women in your life!!!
Look to this Madam 104! She has see the past and she do not wont this back! When she was Possible to come to Vote you must go to Vote! Go out and Vote Blue for Harris! Vote Vote Vote! 🗳️💙🇺🇸🗳️💙🇺🇸🗳️💙🇺🇸🫡
Thank you Duane for getting your Great Aunt Pauline to the polls so she could exercise her right to vote. We should all check with our elderly family members to be sure they have transportation if they are unable to get their own their own steam. Look out for your neighbors too! Good for you Great Aunt Pauline!!
This Great Woman ♀️👠👠 Is So Amazing. 1919 was the year my grandmother graduated from Howard University. This is sinking in. I hope my grand niece would be so daring 42 years from now when I'm voting for who ever. My 1st vote was for Mondale Ferraro remember that. But We're Not Going Back. 🤍Happy 105 Miss Pauline and Caretaker's. 🩷
1965 black women got the right to VOTE, JUST 59 YEARS to be included in a Constitutional Right.Think about that, had to become a federal law as some states didn't include black women in the 19th Amendment. 🎉
Happy happy birthday Miss Pauline Patton, you are amazing. Not just your hand opened, but your arm outstretched and wide open. Hope your family spoiled you on your special day ❤❤❤
God bless her. She has seen so much. this makes me so happy it made me cry. My mother is the only person left in her immediate family. Her parents and siblings have all moved to the next realm and she got to vote for the black male president and she’s already voted for the first black woman president. Good Lord willing she will make it to our next birthday next month. Yeah I was her 30th birthday present.
Many years ago when my grandfather was still alive (he lived to be over 90), we had a talk about the Democrats, he was a big Demo supporter, and I told him some day we'd have a woman president and she'd be a Democrat, he just grinned. We're doing it Grandpa, be proud.💙💙💙💙 🫂
And let's not forget her great-nephew, an unsung hero himself, for making sure his aunt got there to the polls.
So true.
left tears in my eyes, bless her for doing what some people more capable don't do
