I hope their lungs are protected from all the spores that must be in the air. You can get nasty infections from spores. I'd be wearing a mask if I worked there. Lovely educated smart young ladies! Great video!!
Thank you i think fungi is rather amazing, if not a little creepy. I am an Aussie who hasn't been to England for around 40 years. If I ever go again Kew gardens is definitely one of the places I want to go
Did not think you could preserve fungi. I found a really big brown one. Was going to draw it left in the shed in a bag hanging on the wall. When I went back a couple of days later no sign of the fungi just a litre or more of a clear golden brown liquid. Thank you for the interesting information.
Love this episode! How inspiring these women are.
I suddenly wish I was a mycologist.

Such great info and so glad we have scientists out there taking such care to document it all!

such a charming video! thank you for helping share information on fungi!
Makes perfect sense that the type of substrate a fungus is found growing on would be the most interesting bit of meta-data.
This is all so fascinating, can certainly understand why people would be drawn to mycology .

Needs to be dehydrated or be in a very dry room. Your shed probably had a fair bit of moisture in the air.
great vid, thanks.
Soo cool 👍🏽
Wonderfully informative. I’d love to give them a puff ball. How widely is fungi represented in the fossil record, if at all?
so cute;)
What’s the humidity in the room?
Just in time for The Last of Us season 2 lol...
