      @N B the strain of mushroom or man? If mushroom agarikon has a strange history, fairly newly discovered, I. Fact Paul discovered and named his own species

    • @micemr76
      @micemr76 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I should say newly rediscovered. Very fascinating species to do some research on! Lions mane is another fascinating species. Theain reason for it's scarcity is it needs old growth forests to thrive, and we the people are busy cutting all those down. I had a dream last night that the whole world was a ant colony, that knowingly destroyed their habitat

    Thanks for what you do, Paul! I've harvested mushrooms for food and medicine for years in Ohio, but you opened my eyes to a whole new fungi world! Just received your book Mycelium Running, and it's amazing. I work with troubled youth, and we have a pond on the property. Im gonna try and use some of your methods to teach these kids a whole new way of taking care of our planet! Most are just smart kids being dumb. A product of their environment they learned in. Usually horrible parents, and kids having kids.
    My great-grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. Thank you for talking about the 7th generation. We need to talk about that way of life more and more today! I just had my first flush of lions mane. It was my first attempt growing any fungi indoors. Success!
    Thank you Sir!

    I tried to save a very particular (and suspected) strain of liberty caps before their habitat became industrial farmland. It was incredibly potent, maybe averaging on the double of the liberty cap potency overall. They could grow to very large size, the heaviest fruit specimen I picked weighed 60g wet and had a cap large as my hand. They were also constantly bruised. I tried to populate another field with them but they didn't propagate at all there. I miss that strain a lot, and I don't want to see incredible species of mushroom ever go extinct again; edible, poisonous or psychoactive, or otherwise.

    Amazing video....I recently was called by the Forest, off trail, and found 2 Trees with Agarikon on the same day (after looking for years since I heard about it from You). I was looking for a video like this. Thank You very much. One of the Agarikon Trees I was called to, had quite a large Ghost Agarikon Laying on a bed of decaying wood chips at its feet (holy wood chips from the long dead, decaying Tree with Agarikon). I sampled a tiny piece of the Ghost, as there were many small chunks strewn about the floor, as well as few larger chunks. I felt the swelling in my knees vanish almost immediately. A truly incredible anti-inflammatory....or an incredible Placebo I don't know. The Agarikon which is living, smells very nice and lemony. I noticed tiny white chunks of the Agarikon were scattered and buried around the Tree, and don't seem to be decaying at all (could be a truly potent anti-microbial). I must have run/walked passed this Agarikon, which was not far at all from the Trail, hundreds of times. And I found another one earlier. Truly a Magical Day. Anyhow, thank You for your Amazing Work, I look forward to more videos and more incredible information. I will share this. How do we go about getting you samples off these Holy Agarikons? Thank You. Cheers.
