I saw Sea Wolves AKA In The Line Of Duty 7 yesterday. Right before the end credits there's a freeze frame and a paragraph in Chinese that's not translated in the subtitles. My first thought was "is that another Blood Debts situation where I learn that all the suspects got arrested, tried and sentenced?". I used online OCR to extract kanji from a screenshot and put it in Google Translate. Turns out I was right. What a weird custom! Although I can totally see something like that appearing in movies made in the US, UK, Aussie etc. in a decade or so.
The image quality of the bluray is just amazing. Super sharp with great colors. No Hollywood movie made in the last decade can even compare. I love the look of new scans of old HK movies.
What's up, awesome video You are my Australian twin brother. My friend, we have the same taste. I love it. Our collections mirror themselves and we're completely worlds apart.🤘💿🤘🇺🇲
Damn, I'm running out of stuff to watch. I have a list of movies I want to see, but they're all old and obscure. I'd have to do what you do and start looking for used physical copies... somewhere. I'm definitely not paying for new blurays. I wish I could rip some movies from your collection. Do you have any interest in filesharing?
@@ExplosiveAction Is it one of those private trackers that only let you sign up if you have professional reference letters from 6 other trackers or an invite that they give out once in a blue moon? I looked into some of those a few years ago, but they make you jump through hoops just to get in, so I gave up.
@@Ohio.Gozaimasu ah yeah, it's invite only these days, used to be open but no longer it seems. I've been there fifteen years but still don't have privelege to send invites. A shame as it's the number one tracker for obscure films saved from vhs etc.
Great work Simon! That was indeed EPIC!! I did a small VS order at their sale and got Werewolf VS the Vampire Woman, a 4K I don’t need/want but 50% off I wasn’t going to gripe. 😂 I imagine the Clones of Bruce Lee will be on your pre-order list?
Same, I picked it up during the sale too! Should get it soon. Clones of Bruce Lee has been paid for and should ship soon, can't wait! Might make the July update.
Yeah I know what the problem was with the original Hell Of The Living Dead release - the audio soundtrack did not match the footage, so every new shot was lossy so they had to compensate for the next). Very poor release I thought, but the new 88 films release (either 4K UHD or Blu ray) restoration was great. Love that zombie film too.
Street Law is the only Italian crime movie, too lazy to look up the correct Italian word to get the spelling correct lol, that I have seen so far. The film was on Tubi at the time here in the US. As a fan of Giallos and Spaghetti Westerns the Italian crime films are of an interest and there is a documentary also on Tubi that I also watched but havent got around to checking out other films.
Would that be the Eurocrime documentary? It's informative but a lot of talking heads lol. One of my favourites of the genre is Blazing Magnums; it's got dwarf bookies, transvestite knife fights and a fifteen minute car chase that rivals Bullit.

Hah! Great bit of info
@@ExplosiveAction Can you recall any movies that have this? I think they do this with foreign movies as well (Fight Club, for instance).

FBWL is an absolute classic. It barley feels like a Bond spoof, more like Stephen Chow's crazy action humor.

Finally back to movies 🎥 🙌 great haul
Thanks mate!

Lansdale wrote the story upon which Bubba Ho-Tep is baesd. He's written a ton of supernatural/horror fiction, often of the black comic variety.
Cool to know! Really wish Bubba Nosferatu got off the ground

Brilliant! Haha funny how that happens. I just have to import a lot!
I have to live vicariously through your pick-ups Simon. The way the cost of living is rising now😂
It's shocking isn't it! I sell things to buy things, and do some side work to help afford things
Thank you Simon!
You're welcome!

Ripping and converting takes a lot of effort lol. For obscure oddities I can't find legally, I use the cinemageddon tracker

Josh Randall (Chuck Norris), that was Steve McQueen name in the tv show wanted dead or alive
Hah! There you go

Such a fun film, and thrilled they've sorted it out now
Wow that Zombie Army movie sounds amazing. Can’t go past surprise nudity
Also I think you should be the new Frank Djeng but making snarky comments all the way through
Hahaha! "Look at that haircut, he looks like he sells used cars!"
