I never read horror before this year and recently i’ve read so many! It’s wild. They have been really good because they obviously have deeper meanings. I will say this, just being transparent, i’ve had to put a few down this month because reading them back to back is weighing my spirit down! So it’ll be a minute before I pick up another horror 😅
J. California Cooper is one of the best authors of our time and I feel like enough folks aren’t aware of her talents. I’m so glad you picked up this book. I read her books through out high school and college and I’ve been seeing her more and more so I might need to reread her works. 😊
Kristen Hannah is a good author to read. I listened to Four Winds and it was engaging. The book she did that blew up this summer “The women “ was also a great listen.

(So good) As a homeschooling mom myself, I really enjoy seeing the little bits of homeschooling content! Since you also enjoy Historical fiction I’m sure you’ll like Kristen Hannah’s books. I would recommend The Nightingale to start with!
🎃 I had cataract surgery on the 21st and 29th of October so I only read 2 books. One I didn’t like and one I thoroughly enjoyed. The book I enjoyed was BEING HENRY by Henry Winkler. I am reading a lot of Memoirs and Biographies lately.

I remember those days of pregnancy where you are literally exhausted and naps are a requirement to get you through the day & you running out of breath while talking because the growing baby & uterus is literally laying on your diaphragm. 🤣🤣🤣 The things our bodies go through to bring life into this world is simply amazing. “Transition” is a positive way to look at it!!! Love J. California Cooper is one of my favs. Good House is very good it's not too scary. I'm not a horror girl, but I enjoyed reading it & will pick up more of her books.
So many people have commented how much they love J California Cooper! I’ve obviously been sleeping on her writing 🤦🏾♀️ Can’t wait to get into more of her work.
I have less than 20% of The Good House left to listen to, and I definitely recommend audio because the narrator, Robin Holmes, is FANTASTIC. It is definitely a good book so far and slightly creepy.
I need to balance listening to audiobooks as well. Sometimes I’ve gotten so overwhelmed with trying to watch BookTube, edit my videos and all that , that I’ve returned all of my audiobooks 😭

😂🤣 Starbucks and Dunkin just don’t hit the same now that i’ve cracked the code! And I know those Taylor Jenkins Reid books are some of people favorites! 🫣 I just knew I wouldn’t be grabbing them anytime soon. Making sure they are on reading level is one of the main reasons I chose to homeschool!! They may eventually go to public or private but not before I know they are solid in reading and comprehension. I taught myself so much in school (my school sucked) and there’s no way I could have done that without my love for reading.

🎃 I read There’s No Way I’d Die First.. via audio and I recall enjoying it and you hit the nail on the head, I didn’t attempt to put it into words but there was a very unserious element to it. I gave it 3 stars because I didn’t find it very scary and more silly but cute scary for a YA book lol. I think my daughter is about to read it, I’ll have to get her take, she’s 20.
