- Those of you that follow me on social media saw some of the nasty range brass I picked up last week. I thought this would be a great test for the bras juice.

That 2X cleaning water looked fairly clean. I use a tablespoon full of my wife's laundry detergent and a tiny amount of Lemi-Shine. The slop sink is right there, so why not. I wash with hot water and rinse with cold water a few times. I shake the brass in a towel and lay it out to dry. NO pins were used !
I wash in a plastic tub with an ounce of laundry soap. Rinse with a strainer and a garden hose. I let them sit in a cardboard box until dry, then sort. After annealing, sizing trimming and chamferring, then they go in corncob dry. I'm listening to these posts about no pins for a monster batch of 5,000 45's during the cold snap. Thanks to all for your experiences.
Yesterday I watched your video on Cheap Dawn and Rinse Aid.
So at $20 bucks a jug is too high.Soap is cheap and water is free.
So far I like Frankford Arsenal Brass Cleaning Packets the best it my Dawn Platinum Dish Soap and Lemon Shine.
I like that dryer you have.In using a Beef/Venison Jerky Dehydrator I have had 33 years.I bought 2 and the 2ndcone just got threw in a old barn.I got it out and cleaned it up.It works great.
Good Video.Thank You
I have that same Tumbler and case dryer. I like them very much. So far I’ve cleaned around 5000, 9mm cases, using pins and Lemishine/dish soap. That does a great job and I have been very happy with it, but I have been thinking about giving the brass juice a try. Your cases look great.
Just found your channel. Been binge watching all day!! Been loading for 2 years or so. Been a very addicting hobby. Dawn and lemishine have been my go to with pins. Quick roll on a towel before going in the dehydrator to keep the water spots off. I don’t measure anything. Just a squeeze of dawn and a shake of lemishine.
Keep up the great work bro.
Thanks Dave. I am glad you are enjoying it. I enjoy sharing my reloading journey with all of you.
Still use the tried and true lemishine and dawn w/o pins and it works great. Much cheaper, but that stuff seems to work too.
Ok you and Chico have been talking about this brass juice I wasn’t going to order any of this stuff but know I ordered a jug of it thanks
For The recommendation
half one single serving zero cal Country Time lemonade packet hot water and one drop of Dawn dish for my harbor freight tumbler and its beautimus
Love the brass juice. No pins, but I add a bit of soap and lemishine just because I have it. Works awesome
This is what I use. I love Brass Juice. Don’t want to deal with pins. Only difference for me, is my last rinse I add a squirt of Finish or Jet Dry to eliminate spotting.
well I know we talked about this and after seeing what flowed out of that I may need to order some
God bless man. Finly got my reloading kit. Pick up a lee Hand-press. Not the best option but it will work to get me into reloading. Plus where live don't got space for a full size set up quite yet. Might by another press later. Need good power measure in a scale. Bought cheap digital scale from harbor freight but was told by a guy in Johnny's reloading bench to not use it
Try subbing steel BBs for the pins. They’re not nearly as much trouble. They don’t get caught in 556 like the pins do
I would do a pre-wash (vinegar, dawn, lemon juice) in order to keep your Brass Juice nearly pristine. A pre-wash only takes 5 minutes. It would get off 80%-90% of the gunk. You could just stir that in a bucket.
I used white vinegar, dawn, lemi shine and cream of tartar. Only for 1 hour tumbling will be like brand new brass
You're good with just the vinegar, lemmee shine, Dawn dish soap and water. Also have reused that mixture with nasty brass 7 times. I wish I had known this 55 years ago, but have it in my gourd now. This produce he is talking about seems to work, but it's alot cheaper to use yours and my mix.
I'm using a dry tumbler and thinking of switchingbso this helps. Great share, Stay blessed my friend
Wet tumbling is the way to go
Just get yourself a dryer
I started years ago cleaning brass with a dry tumbler but once I found a wet tumbler with pins and lemmi shine, I haven’t touched it again.
Been using it for a few months. It definitely works with no SS media
How do the inside of the cases look after using Brass juice? I have been using liquid car wash with a wax in it and Lemishine for years with pins and have been very happy with how well it cleans. I run my Thumler Tumbler for about and hour to an hour and a half. I have noticed that the Frankford one spins much faster.
@@MegaLostOne I use zero pins. The inside is clean enough and get low SD without pins. Not using them save the necks from getting pinned flat
Been lately using Dawn and Lemi Shine with ArmorAll Car wash and Wax.. been awesome
That works good too
I use dawn plus tide pods(they clean the grime) 1/4 cup viniger and add lemishine to bring ph to 3-4
WE GOTTA SCORE!!!
Mom did good haha
have not tried the juice yet looks pretty impressive though!!
Well done
I stopped pins. I was noticing little dings all over my brass. Talked with some fclass and BR guys. They wet tumble no pins for no more than 30 mins.
I have the Lyman Turbo 1200 vibratory media cleaner. I use their corn cob media. How does the wet wash compare to the dry tumbled brass? The brass juice was impressive to say the least.
Really nice. I'll never go back.
Just started using this stuff. Works great! Washed a bunch of 9mm brass for only an hour and it came out sparkling clean.
Btw, what dehydrator/case dryer is that? Wife wasn’t real happy when I dried a bunch of brass in the oven :)
The case dryer is a Lyman Cyclone
@@SquatchReloaded thx
Stil makes no sense to wash BEFORE you deprime. I’m more worried about clean primer pockets than I am really anything else
Really just a matter or preference. I do it either way just depends on how busy I am.
🤔 never heard of it...... Well will there be primers and powder at that place tomorrow??????
Yes there will I guarantee it. My mom and sister are going. Please help mom get the right stuff. Squirrel is busy making birthday stuff for our son.
@@SquatchReloaded have them look for me... I'll be the 1sr in line.... I'm looking for powder also so going to grab what they have that I need.
Daniel, God is my judge I will let her know
@@danielgodismyjudge I hope you in line now !!!!!
Looks like it a watered down can of brasso who knows but it did do a good job on that dirty brass nice god bless bud
Great video, God bless you as well!
can I mix steel pins and crushed walnuts shells in my dry vibrator cleaner?
Nice demonstration, Squatch! I’ll order some some. You and Chico both using it, how can I go wrong? Thanks Brother.
IOSSO makes a very similar cleaner, but I think their product may be a bit more dilute. Generally when it comes to most of these cleaning chemicals a $20 price tag is enough to turn me off.
how were the primer pockets after decapping?
So confession I haven’t got around to decapping them yet. I would imagine they are dirty.
I am wanting to get into reloading. Can anyone give me some advice on what is the best bang for your buck just starting? Thanks in advance
That works great 👍🇺🇸
Dry media for me I spill to much lol
whats brass juice got for a phone number to order I will try it
the stuff is killer I also put alittle car wash soap in there
Hello, do you think this product works on ultra sonic Cleaner? Greetings from Mexico
I don’t know if it would work or not. I may try it and see.
Ok, I like the results but what was the formula? 1 gal of water and 2 oz of juice, anything else?
Nothing else just water and brass juice
@@SquatchReloaded Thanks! I was impressed with your results.
I know how nasty the liquid is after a single cycle and the idea of reusing that liquid again and again is counter-intuitive. It's becoming more and more concentrated with everything that is toxic - ie lead styphnate from the primer. I de-prime all my brass prior to tumbling but there's still residue in the primer pockets and whatever got blown into the case. While lead styphnate is mostly insoluble in water, the continued reuse of that water concentrates whatever contamination you already have. Not to mention the lead on the case if you shoot stuff that isn't fully plated/jacketed.
That black water is mostly carbon but the some of the heavier stuff on the bottom is undeniably lead particulate. I'd rather just run the tumbler longer and achieve the same results without the hassle of trying to store contaminated water. Saving and reusing really dirty water in order to have clean brass is kind of strange - especially if you can get similar results by simply spinning the tumbler longer.
Less work, less money, less hassle for the same results.
There are so many methods to cleaning brass. I’m glad you found a method that works for you. I always try to present several different ways of doing things and never claim any are better than others especially when it comes to cleaning brass. To be honest sometimes I don’t even clean it I just throw it back in the Press and run it all depends on my mood and what it’s going to be used for.
My 800 pieces of brass look like they came out of the factory...inside and out! But I sure in the hell am not spending 20 bucks on a jug of miracle shitt! A bottle of Brasso costs $4 and I give it a long squirt ( so I get about 10 loads out of my Frankford Arsenal per bottle ). And here's the bitch...Brasso is made to clean Brass...go figure! A little dish soap, water and tumble for a couple of hours. Dump out dirty water...Fill with more water and a add a squirt of dish soap again ( no Brasso this time ) then tumble for another hour or so! Then I dump the water and immerse the tumbler in a five gallon bucket of water and shake, ( the end caps with the open groves are on so the clean water rinses inside the tumbler ). 95 percent of my stainless pins fall out in the five gal. bucket and the other 5 % I pick up with a $5 extension magnet from TSC when I dump out my clean brass on a towel. Of course next is the oven for the pins and brass! You can't tell the difference between a brand new piece of brass!!!
Wauw - very nice cases - outsider ...👍
But how does the cases look inside...?
Is it possible to make this "brassjuice" DIY as a titchen-mixture...? Which and how much of each of the ingredients,..?🤓
Thanks for viewing... 👍😀
If I could figure out what is in it I would DIY it for sure
@@SquatchReloaded I think he means what do the inside of the cases look like. The video is pretty dark looking inside. I would also ask what empty primer pockets look like without the SS media using BrassJuice. That is one of my big reasons for using the wet tumbler.
I will post some pics of some I have done so you can check them out
Both am I interested in:
Inside view of the cleaned cases.
Content of the brass polish mixture...
Writing in US/UK text now and then results in strange words for you from my the Danish dictionary... 😜
I’ve used BJ but never really examined the insides of the cases. I imagine they should be just as clean since the solution is a liquid. No reason it shouldn’t be.
Better way to spend your money on all the other expensive stuff.
1st 😉👍
Don't forget to pick up a cookie you have apparently earned it 😂
