Great video mate👍 one feature I wish they would have considered a way to set the 3 patch selector pedals to act as a pedalboard to turn off more than one patch effect which is all you can do via the ctrl pedal. so you can basically use one patch all night and instead of the pedals toggling thru the banks they could turn effects ,distortions etc off and on for that individual patch. I love the gr55 I played thru it for hours today.
Thanks mate! You can use epression pedal or buttons on GK pickup controller to switch things on or off. Plus if you use midi, another 95 perameters or effects can me switch on or off.
@neilreynard so if I link up a multi pedaled board I can plug it into the midi jack and then assign certain effects on and off ......like on a reg pedal board? could you do a tutorial on exactly how to do That? the owners manual is sorta vague on a lot of the gr55's many funtions unfortunately. love the channel btw I just subscribed cheers
you can record each string individually to a midi track there's a break out box available with a modified 13 pin gk cable this allows for splitting giving each string a pan or efx that can be adjusted via the mod box and mod gk split cable this is not a Roland/boss device. seen it being demonstrated here on the YT just the other week.. wish them luck also the gr-55 can act as a controller for most VST instruments and synthesisers. but you don't need a gr-55 for midi guitar its old tech just get midiguitar ii and get a BBC breath control device there's also a video of it being used here on the YT its a very scary bit of new tech. the fella demonstrate's it's potential it's just amazing how real his trumpet is and the other instruments are he an equal to any Roland synth guitar sales man. but you can see its a something that requires long hard work to aquire to get any benefit from this device just the same with the gr-55 you got to have talent from the very off there ain't no magic involved just lots of hard work to make it sparkle a buff by long practice and when you figure it out, that all you ever needed is one cracking good tone coming out a nice tube amp and talented band mates to be equally good. your back in your bedroom onemanbanding it dreaming it.
Thank you!

@@goodtimefolkrock I don't have any midi devices unfortunately. I'll do some digging though!
It looks like you can hook up a pedal board and contol the GR-55 with midi. Still 8 assigned functions per patch.
Here's a quick video I found th-cam.com/video/rCiiWhGNyOI/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for that mate! You really opened my eyes!
may i know what application is this and where to download, thanks
sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/
There's also mobile app, apparently gr55.app/
I only know the PC app. It was free when I downloaded it. They just asked me if I can make a donation. I declined.
