Thank you for sharing this. My father battled mental illness for 49 years until he decided he'd had enough. Today marks the 3rd year he's been gone. I struggle to move on. This beautiful poem reminded me that he is still here with me, that he always will be. Thank you.

She was my screensaver for years before she passed January '21. Couldn't look at her picture without going on a downward spiral. Deleted her pictures off my phone and put them on my google. The first line of this poem reduced me to tears, so validating. Started writing again, I used to write every day but stopped for 7 years but I finally found the inspiration to write again.
this really hit home as my grandfather recently passed away 2 weeks ago from cancer and the last time i saw him, he was being carried away in an ambulance to the local hospice house. in summary, i love this. wonderful work.

Okay, so the beginning was okay. It took so long getting into, seemed like he were telling a dramatic story but I loved the rhyme scheme and eventual musical beat he developed as his poem carried on. The last verses of this poem really resonated on an emotional level with me, and that's usually how I know if I've really enjoyed what I just heard/ read. But nevertheless, well done!!!!!
Tf? No one wanted your critique, nor cares what resonates with you. That ridiculous. All of this poem was perfect. If it helped him and if he wrote it it’s perfect. Just like if you wrote a poem and shared it, it’d be perfect. Poems aren’t for everyone. You write when you’re upset and crying alone, not with people watching.
Please keep writing. You just planted honeysuckle in my ear drums.

This was something I needed to hear. Thank you for this. My best friend died a few months ago, and it's been pretty hard. Hearing someone who has also dealt with grief has reminded me that I'm not alone in this experience.

Incredible performance and poetry thank you so much for this...It really spoke to me because my dad who is still alive once told me he wanted his ashes spread across the lake. And said it in a tormented soul type of way. And it scared the hell out of me when he said that because he just retired a few short years ago and he's supposed to be enjoying retirement. I know he is but it hurts to even think about losing him..
