Yes, rugby has more protective rules than the NFL. That's why some penalties get a yellow card or red card. 10 minutes out for yellow and out of the game for red. And referees issue the cards very frequently. In the NFL when a player is kicked out of a game he is replaced, NOT in rugby.
Looks like if you have helmits and pads you go full speed thinking youre protected so they fly in the air more, Rugby you respecting you might hurt the person so you tackle and hold them down rather than push away with force.
In Rugby, the person being tackled isn't allowed to jump/skip a tackle for safety & that's a basic rule. unlike American football where they jump and get serious injuries. Plus tackles above the shoulders in Rugby are deemed illegal and a player can get sent off(Red card) or yellow card (minutrs off pitch) if they do so.
Rugby World Cup 2031 (men) and 2033 (women) will be hosted by USA…so the rugby traction in the US will definitely pick up with more investment quality and ofcause the US doesn’t wana blow-out in the first game…it will be interesting to see how the US spectators take it up
In rugby you don't tackle to hut the other person. Cause that is likely to hurt you too. Rather grapple the other person to the ground. Or carry him a couple of metres or into touch. That usually puts a smile on everyone's face😁
Rugby, it's a fast & kinetic game whether it's Union, League, 7's or 10's. I used to watch some American Football growing up, 49ers with Joe Montana & Jerry Rice 🤘 but as an adult, it's boring. Who has time for all that stopping & starting?
Rugby is more entertaining because it's a fluid game because the ball is always live. Where NFL is very static stop and start sport.
Rugby is more fast paced without the many formations the nfl offers

Rugby because I play it at college in South Africa, its rough there. Your body is always in pain but you still need to tackle your opponents
Rugby is way more entertaining, ball is in play way more. An average 60 tackles in a NFL per game VS An average of 175 in a rugby game( with out pads)
