When Prince released his first record there was a lot of obfuscation about who he was. Depending on what interview you listen to he was half Italian. His father was Filipino. His mother was a jazz singer. His father was a jazz pianist. He lived with his best friend or maybe he lived with his aunt. He definitely didn’t want people to pigeonhole him so he left a lot of false information for people to try to decipher so what’s the truth?
Princes father was a jazz singer. His mother was at least as far as we know, the singer in his fathers band. Prince had a sister. Prince had a best friend named Andre Anderson. Prince had a band. That band was called Grand Central. Grand Central did gigs in North Minneapolis North Minneapolis have a lot of bands, Jimmy jam was in a band. Terry Lewis was in a band. Morris day joined Prince‘s band. They were battles of the bands. That’s the legend of North Minneapolis, but no one really knew the truth until now.
This long episode puts together with new footage, the pre-fame saga of prince Rogers Nelson, his high school girlfriend, his family problems, his temporary homelessness his vow to become a superstar. His meeting with Chris moon his early studio curiosity is meeting with Owen Husney his introduction to David Rifkin and his eventual record deal with Warner Bros.. It’s all here.
You just stitched together the most comprehensive biography of early Prince. Movie makers now have the blueprint.
Boldly stated, appreciate you. We shall see. 🤔
Without a doubt
@@tonyapendleton9316 you out there representing the channel. Thank you sis!
I agree. When the day comes that they finally do the definitive Prince biopic, THIS will be the reference point.
Thank you for honoring an artist who embodied the elements of Sly, Hendrix, Mozart, JB, Little Richard, and Santana while somehow staying unapologetically himself-PRINCE! 💜
Thank you for allowing us to by loving this dude and respecting his art.
Carlos Santana and Mozart are talented and respected icons in their own right, but they can't hang with those other cats in my opinion!
@@zroy9263 You're entitled. We can respectfully disagree.
@danavixen6274
You're damn right we can respectfully disagree! How many artists and music intellectuals have Santana and Mozart inspired and influenced in contemporary music, compared to PRINCE, Hendrix, Sly Stone, and James Brown?!
Those cats changed everything in modern music today!
Why don't you mention who Mozart and Santana have influenced today?
YES!
What you're doing in keeping his work and genius alive is brilliant. The way you put these all together is brilliant. Thank u, keep bustin'
Happy Heavenly Birthday Prince RIP 🎶 Blessed
Thanks from this ole lady (me) for honoring the artist Prince. I only met him once accidentally while I was walking to my favorite bath and body store. His hands are (were) so soft and I could NOT say a word. I did NOT realize who he was until he released my hands from his and we both started walking on our way. Something told me that this is Prince. I turned around to look for him but he had disappeared into the crowd. I will always remember this that he laid his hands on my shoulder. W'ow! I wish I had at least said something.
Few can say they came so close. WoW.
I’ve never seen such a hard worker who became incredible at everything! He was born to be a star but all his troubles and determination got him to succeed, so proud of what he’s accomplished, he really left a huge legacy and changed the music of today
Riding back to nyc listening to 1999 album on repeat with my girl in the front seat. Nephew watching PR in the back seat with the head phones. All of us drinking grape soda. It's a purple day overall.
All the critics are there.
Prince is a genius ❤💜♥️💜♥️💜
Enjoy this every time I watch it, so we’ll done. Really good job, helping his fans understand his beginnings
❤❤❤
People don't realize this man is as big if not bigger than Elvis as far as legacy.

Dam…thank you.
Very thorough Prince history timeline. Great Prince Day episode Thank U @Sinnik22
Very, very, VERY THOROUGH.
This is the documentary I was waiting for, for years! THANX A LOT!!! I'm gonna watch this many many times! Thanx for making this, Prince (and fans) will love this! Cause his past is so mysterious, I never heard too much about it. I know he was a man who kept most to himself, but I bet he would have loved this documentary too cause it's honest. And his family, friends, and bandmembers tell everything themselves, no made up stuff, gossip, or BS. -groetuitholland! 🕊💟
Galas you enjoyed it
'U have to learn....not burn..'(thank U Pepe Willie 👍🏻)
Thank U Team Prince ✌🏼☸🕊💜
Oh Man,this is going to be good 😊 thank you and shout out from Ypsilanti Michigan!!!
I graduated from high school on Prince's birthday in 1996. Love this channel💜💜💜
Sinnik22: I love that you are taking a typically dry medium like documentary and bending and weaving it into a genuine soulful art form about our dear friend. I hope your work will eventually find the renown and notoriety it deserves. Thank you for all of this.
Y’all are the reward. Check out the Sinnik22 Patreon…thank you!
Awesome ❤ I'm at the theater 👏🏽👍🏽👊🏾 LOVE IT
Love this. Well done 👏 & thank you
Its really takes times to cut and edit this video.. Thanks for sharing❤
Thank you 😊. It's hard to keep up with all of these videos, just like Spooky Electric's video series, but, I watch what I can. I'm so appreciative.
Man, the fact that you would watch any of these videos I make is the biggest compliment ever. The idea that you would even “ try to keep up” is so kind and humbling. Thank you. ☺️
@@Sinnik22 You are so very welcome! 😊 Your videos are very thorough and well put together.

Fabulous, just fabulous 💜💜💜. Didn't want it to end. Continue please💜
Next era is up😀thanks!
I don’t think we’re ever going to get that Netflix documentary we were promised, and even if we do get a docuseries, there’s no way one of the major streaming platforms would be willing to create a documentary comprehensive enough to do Prince justice. You would need at least 12 hours to tell that story.
On the other hand, what you are doing, without the financial support of a huge company like Netflix or Warner Discovery, is amazing.
This is the best video I’ve seen in awhile
One word No competition....None .PRINCE was a go getter Recorded all his music with nobody's help Telling a billion dollar record company warner brothers .... Nobody wasn't going 2 produce his music but him....AT 19 YEARS OLD . AND THE LEGEND PRINCE DID HIS TTTTHHHIIINNNGGGGG ... LEGENDS LIVES 4 EVER
He was 17(!) when he made that album. So young, driven, and talented!
Love luv how Mr.Nelaon continues to reinvent himself.. he is a pure GENIUZ!!! :) Mr.Nelson was such a cutie pie as a child to a man :) 😊
I was hoping you would drop a new one for Celebration Weekend💜💜💜
You going again?
@@Sinnik22 not this year. Planning to go next year, 2024.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your efforts, for your time, for your dedication to make this!
So appreciative. Thank you for taking time to watch & write
Learn don’t burn. I hadn’t heard that from Pepe. There’s another channel on here where the main prince fan called for the burning a first Avenue during the BLM riots. How world that sit with Prince, Pepe, or any other of his, their, peers and fellow Minnesotans?
These are so rich with very interesting and great night on the imagery, but stories, etc. that to talk about each one would for me at least me a massive comment long winded as always.
But I will point another thing that struck me early in this fantastic video, is that Prince himself said that his mother was his wild side I couldn’t really understand what he said about his dad, right there are the dualities in prince.
Clearly you can see it mother father Work musician, day night. I won’t go any further because I believe prince fans should take it upon themselves to discover things for themselves. There’s so much to know yet to learn and remember … don’t burn.
Sinnik you are doing the Lord's work. I hear you are a Black man. This is so deserving of him - the time and attention you have paid to this is amazing.
✊🏽
@@Sinnik22 You are so knowledgeable about Prince & the music and the era. May I ask how old you are?
This has to be the best, complete story from the very beginning of Prince's remarkable career. Fascinating climb to stardom.
Very happy you are enjoying
Thank U brother
(gonna enjoy me this later on)
💜🐾
Never met brothers nonetheless. The power of Prince ☺️
im an hour in but allready think this edit is probably 1 of U'r best works ! (thus far) Much respect. All thanks 2 Si22iK .
This episode is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nothing short of incredible work in this video, and audio.
When are they going to make a movie about his life. Prince amazing and inspirational
Cool 💯😎 Salute
Damn Morris Mom is a fox! I thought she was Pam Grier!❤😂😂😂
knowing how it ended with the fight for publishing and all else and it makes me sad that he worked so hard to be exploited

Sinnik22, you're welcome for that😉☝️.
Where in the world did you get that Grand Central film footage and where can I find the rest of it?!! ✊😊
That’s pretty much all of it🙃
Awesome, thank you so much for ALL that you do!
Prince would be Proud ♡
You’re so welcome
Prince would be so proud of Sinnik! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Prince will forever be a master of his craft and psyche!
Prince said dont make me black im here to take over!!!!!!!
❤❤❤❤
💜
Prince's father kinds looks and reminds me of Barry Hankerson, very serious and masculine.🤔
Omw to google “Barry Hankerson” 🤔
Blessed be ' Prince
No Wonder Prince Always Throw Shade On his Frist Manager In Later Years😅
wow
Well Prince was only checking if Morris was about it. So of course he was going to study him. It's normal. He didn't know Morris when he came in the Band. His boy Andre brought him around because of Prince's cousin wasn't working out anymore. Prince has always been about moving on. But, remember it was democracy. So he went with Andre's pick for a drummer. In the end Morris and Prince made history. Especially with Purple Rain.
Princes father was a bastard. Clearly there was abuse going on. Prince covered for parents who abused him which is so consistent with so many of those who suffer at their hands. Prince okayed it down, but there is nothing light about it. Abuse is terrible.
🙏🏾☔️😎
Prince salad. interesting, though just because i've seen a lot of this in different formats and know the history through many different interviews available....fun....peace out
Cool. Thank you
His dads voice is so similar to Prince
Thanks for providing these informative 'Prince productions" like sweet little ditties honoring his genius!!!
minor flaws, with Major accomplishments intertwined.
🎶🎛🔥💜
A jazz singer in night clubs and a 7th day Adventist are oxymorons that don't mix.
Yup. Kinda opposite there.
@@Sinnik22 that's when Satan gets to reign in families. by mixing the profane with the godly. God's people should be equally yoked.
Musical Force.
That's actress Lynette Mckee, that's not Princes mother singing.
Not his father on piano either.
Why didn’t that “ angel “tell him about the fentanyl
How much do you have left now that you've put in your 2 cents?
Rick James was funny😅😅😅😅😅
Is this some A.I. generated thing? Cuz man, it's a mother fuckin' mess.
John Nelson was a hater
What's up with that 😐 huh🤷🏽
Bobby's voice is annoying lol
Lynette McGee is not Princes mother. Prince was just as black as anybody else and so was his mama and his daddy. This video keeps showing. Light skinned celebrators who are no relation to him.
He got abused by his parents.
He had help recording those first albums, the lie he and the press told was that he played all those instruments himself
Princes persona, Arrogance and narcissism is what killed him.
He did play all of those instruments and did it at many shows.
Bobby's voice is annoying
Good evening,Prince is the GOAT, south Minneapolis, the Northside was totally different, flyte Time used to play live at in the nackanerma club on 39th and 4th avenue.Great times. 23:04
