- I can't believe I finally played through the entire Dark Souls. Sorry I skipped Moonlit Butterfly, we're not missing much anyway. Such a fun experience, definitely have caught the Fromsoft bug..

Interestingly enough, Yuka Kitamura, the composer who worked on a lot of Fromsoft stuff, left close to a year ago and showed up again just earlier this week having made music for the latest Arknights story. A lot of the music she made is the classic Fromsoft style she used to make.

I don't see anyone remarking on this, but your question about where you'd heard Gwyndolin's theme before could be because his theme is a big part of Aldrich's theme from DS3, because Aldritch is eating him. Hence why the projectile spam from Aldrich as well. A good chunk of the fight is an homage to Gwyndolin.

There is also a special interaction you get with Sif the wolf if you beat manus first before seeing him. There is a mournful sad encounter where he remembers you from your fight versus Manus and regretfully takes up arms against his old friend who helped saved the memory of his master
Can't help but agree, knowing the lore for these games makes things a bit more fun overall, and the music really does fit the characters better knowing their past, though maybe thats just my view on it.

i couldnt chat during the livestreams but it makes me so happy being able to see you run through all these games man. i found your channel through them and fromsoft's stories and their incredible music mean so much to me and have a very special place in my heart and its so cool to just see you power through the games and beat the bosses and just relive the magic. plus it was awesome being able to see you be an absolute gamer and kill almost everyone in under 5 tries. what a badass. looking forward to see the rest of the fromsoft games have videos like this too where you just clap everyone haha

Honestly Marco, when I finished doing some mental and physical work, I always got The Nameless Song, it just calms me down, like it sort of makes me reflect to the things that I should and have done like, "did I do enough" "does this mean that I won" "what will I do now?" "Should I continue?" These are the feelings that I get from The Nameless Song, really love your insights and passion about music and game music, much love from me, don't go hollow my friend.

After playing Eldenring for 2 years, playing Dark Souls was a BREEZE. Boss-wise anyway. Some of those runs through the Catacombs and stuff was rough.
Dark sun gwyndolin is remixed in DSIII when you fight Alderich devourer of gods.
