I know everyone wants a big weapon in this draft at 10 but this OL isn’t young and taking a OT is smart to rotate and keep players healthy for Aaron ! Conklin is going to be really good you don’t need a TE at 10

Totally agree, they really need a top OT... If Alt is there, you grab him without even thinking. After that, JC Latham.
I really like Fuaga, he has that nasty attitude like "I'm going to destroy whoever gets in front of me" BUT, he will probably be better suited as a guard.
A lot of people like Fashanu but his split between pass protection and run blocking is pretty stark. As someone said, pass protection is king and he will probably be fine but he does have some learning to do. Everyone else are projects and not going to be able to step in, if a starter goes down.

Yes, but also said with Bowers , Aaron would have a first down anytime he wanted. Why Ruggert and Conklin have to step up.

    • @wintersresurrection9841

@@grovepeate3316 To get 1st downs, you need time. If any of the starting 5 go down, time is going to decrease drastically.
It isn't as sexy like getting a big play maker but OT is THE smart move.
From what I have been seeing and reading, Bowers has some issues that could be really exposed if opposing DCs watch his film: it looks like he may have issues getting loose, off the line, from getting jammed up. Maybe this can be fixed, with strength training and good coaching? Who knows. As well, he isn't a great route runner but that may be mute if he can be really good with contested catches because #8 will put the ball in a spot to give Bowers the best chance to catch it. But there is a major difference between college ball and the NFL. Bowers isn't going to walk into the NFL and be nearly as effective as he was previously. As such, that means he is very likely a project. Conklin looks much better on film at this point, a better route runner and can get free at the line.
As they have a good TE room right now, and that will become more obvious with #8 throwing them the ball, they need to concentrate on that OL and pick up a WR in the 3rd or 4th round, where there are still going to be plenty of excellent prospects. There will be no OL starters in the 3 round on, it looks like they will all be projects. So, they need OL early and grab the play makers later.
The only exception to that would be if Alt is already gone and one of the top 3 WRs falls to #10, best would be Rome Odunze. His skills are what they need to pair up with GW and MW. If they were to get Odunze, they very likely have the top WR group in the NFL.
Remember, #8 was MVP 2 years in a row with Davante and a room full of WR4s. This year, he already has more weapons.
