Thanks, Arjun Bhagat, Director of the Series In 1911, it was announced that the capital of British held territories in India was to be transferred from Calcutta to Delhi. The name "New Delhi" was given in 1927, and the new capital was inaugurated on 13 February 1931.

I don't think there were any coins during Harappan civilization, seals which are being shown as punch marked coins were not coins, they didn't perform the function of currency. Harappans relied on barter trade and there was no money or coins and punch marked coins developed much later
The best ever documentary , really since few months I got addicted to the programs of rstv , just because of their clarity of knowledge, whence from the subtile , the salubrious terms they frame the sentences with rhetoric. It's been the perfect example of best media in India placed beside the Hindu and the Frontline . I see the media channels which are focused on sensationalism chaos for trps. This is something away from them , really qualitative.
Its such a fine work. The graphics are wonderful. The content being in English is the best part as its hard to understnd specific architectural terms in Indian languages. Great work.

Good concept. Just one doubt- transfer of capital was done by 1912 and announced in 1911. So shouldn't it be capital city for 35 years?
