My grandfather absolutely loved the first few delta force games and passed them down to me when he passed away. The memories of this game with him were amazing
You can tell how series development basically hit a brick wall with 2003 Black Hawk Down. Each game afterwards looked basically the same and only 2004's Joint Operations really added something. Xtreme duology were basically laughable when you compare them to other FPS coming out those days.
Back in the day we had over 4000 registered members on my team and we were hosting international tournaments and winning world titles. Every night hundreds of players were chatting on our voice channels and waiting to be paired. This was way before Counter Strike, Battlefield, Steam, and Discord. Most of us were still on dial-up Internet. We were the biggest 3rd party hoster and map creator. Got our names on PC Gamer Magazine. Good old times.
I played the hell out of Delta Force 1 & 2 as a 16 year old. I just have memories of being super focused while playing these games like my life depended on it lol. Loved all the Novalogic voxel games. Especially since the voxel graphics work great on my low end computer. I remember messing around with the map editor for DF2 and making a level of a flooded middle eastern town as the setting and playing with others online. Good times.
iam 16 yrs old and iam playing delta force series and currently at the end of delta force 1 , Absolutely loved the storyline and action. The best part is that it works on low end pcs with minimum system requirement so that i can play this absolute masterpiece

I didn't get the chance to play BHD Team Saber as a kid but by what I've see here it looks like gameplay wise its better than OG BHD although it doesn't come near in matching the feel of it... Joint Operations and Xtreme 2 both reminded me of one of my favorites and very first video game that I played in my childhood Project IGI, definitely will give both of them a shot thanks for the video

to be fair - Urban Warfare was Delta Force in name only - was done by a different dev and NL just published it... Task Force Dagger and Team Saber were done by different studios as well but yeah, Hawk Ops is not delta force in any way shape or form... same as that last comanche arcade game isn't a comanche game - they're just slapping the name on something they already had in development

Hawk Ops is just Call of Duty with a Delta Force name. It's going to be riddled with microtransactions and will not resemble the original games. We already know that it's a hero shooter... "Big company buys thing and makes it worse." But the rest of the video was a nice stroll down memory lane.🙂
speaking as early player of hawk ops, so far the microtransactions are just for skins, and character skins, so basically all the characters are currently a reward as level goes, and for skills, each character can do their own things, not like someone that are assault can heal themself, or medic could boost their movement speed like assault
I'm a heretic. All microtransactions are bad. Games should be developed and sold as is. Live service is not a selling point in my estimation. If there are 4 heroes for CQB, Medic, Sniper and Gunner, then sure. But Battlefield 2042 has more heroes than that. Hero shooters are the norm because they catalyse microtransactions. See my above paragraph. It's not all doom and gloom. There are awesome games out there. BF2042 and the new Delta Force "aint it" But if you enjoy it, then very good for you! There's enough misery out there in the world. Have fun 😁

Novalogic was shut down back in the day, so those developers are nowhere to be seen now, maybe they retired from game development. So, how can a studio develop a game after shutting down? Obviously when a studio shuts down, they have to sell the copyrights to others to keep legacy. New one is not from Novalogic but they have license and the compaign will be influenced by the older Delta Force!!!!
