- The final match of the striker cup vs the champ Petey Piranha on extreme difficulty. Wasnt too bad of a series but one thing to note about petey and his teams is they love to tackle spam so beware of that but if u have a team full of fast people u can just weave around them easily.
Loosing to Petey or in the elimination rounds is the most rage you’ll ever feel in a game I swear
When i was 8, i'd cried in angriness for not being able to beat Petey. I remember that fcking theme of him playing while i was crying like "I HATE YOUUUU!!!"
Bro 2 months ago my brother lose in sudden death 10 time and he kept on saying I F-- HATE YOU PETEY
I started to replay this game, holy sh*t, I get so mad when I can’t even qualify
I remember one time I fucking lost in OT to him which ended the entire thing 😭
That happened to me before guys. I lost to Petey a few times, then I managed to beat him and earn the trophy!
You need to use your blood, sweat, and tears, as well as tons of practice if you want to beat him.

Its not that hard, in fact Petey was the easiest game I had tbh. The stage is so bad, he had 11% ball possession because the electricity.
GecKyo Agreed. For me, all of the Striker Cup (or max difficulty) matches that took place on the Wastelands, The Dump, or The Sand Dunes was much harder than Petey. Took me several tries to even get to Petey, but I beat him 2-0 when I finally got to him on my first try.

I have wasted about 8 years trying to get Petey Piranha, i can beat level 5 cpus easily, but when it comes to Strikers cup eliminations or just Petey in general i'm destroyed and the stupid Wastlelands stage hates me, i also rarely get bananas or captain items.
The WaPikmin wastelands is the worst stage ever
It is always the finals stage before Petey so i usually just fail, mainly because i slide then they get the ball and lightning strikes, it's so annoying.

I beat Petey with my fav (Peach) with Hammer Bro, Monty Mole and Dry Bones 4-2 and 5-2 after seven tries. God it was difficult.
However this is another level. You freakin DESTROYED petey.

I didn’t know about the tricks shots when I beat him so I just took an ungodly amount of shots of goal

what do you press to lob the ball over the goalkeeper like that can you only do that with boo and when I try to lob it he just catches it or hits me and one more thing is this a good team: yoshi,koopa troopa,dry bones and toad
You press the z button to chip the ball like that. Every character can z chip the ball and your team is fine just as long as you know how to use that combo efficiently.
So do you hold z or press z
If u want to z chip you just tap the z button, to lob it into the goal like i did you have to hold z for about half a second then release it. Once you get used to the timing its easy

yoshi is good if you know how to use his special, koopa/dry bones are good for setting up a shot, and toad/dry bones are fast. pretty good team.

Petey is quite an easy boss, I beat him first try, it's just the parts leading up 2 him that's difficult, also bc the elimination round in the striker cup is rigged.
Yeah same here, I always got knocked out in the final elimination, which I’m fairly sure rigs the items

You can make this a lot easier by choosing montey mole, hammer bro, and dry bones and use drybones to teleport right in the goal X)
+Game Warrior (Gamewarrior454) Teleporting into the goal/boo dekeing is considered taboo in the competitive scene and honestly destroys the fun.
+yoshifan0207 but if you're in a bit of a mess, dry bones can really save the day but it takes a bit of practice to get the timing right

Matthijs Muller I would say use your items wisely and play around whatever team he has. Build a nice balanced team and work on your offense.

I have a tip and manage you must choose sidekick i recomand 3 turtle team Dry bone,Hammer bro and Koopa i always use this set i rarely to lose the match you must have a Offensive sidekick(Hammer bro)
Balanced(Koopa and Shy guy)
And Defense(Dry bone) you will win almost time trust me.
