    89-91 Patton is gold made into voice. A really unique moment of his singing carreer. I wish they were more albums featuring that kind of voice besides The Real Thing album and Mr Bungle's self titled & demos.

      Oddly enough, I'd always done my Mike Patton Karaoke voice with a very nasal style and it worked alright but it just wasnt correct...then one day I thought I'd check for a vocals only version of Epic, and holy shit...
      It turns out he isnt singing through his nose to make that tone. He is doing it in the back of his throat in a way similar to Bradley from Sublime, you just can't hear it with the rest of the music playing.
      Look up Epic -Vocals isolated
      And listen to the chorus, specifically, "CAN'T GRAB IT" he is actually singing those notes like a soul singer, like James Brown maybe.
      Anyway, I just found that the vocal isolation videos found on here changed how I looked at Mike Patton's singing and now I understand what he is doing. Brilliant stuff.

    • @WeerdMunkee
      @WeerdMunkee ปีที่แล้ว +7

      He stopped doing it because he not only knew he was capable of so much more, but he also didn't want to get trapped as that kind of singer. Personally, I'm glad he ditched it.

    Esta version de Patton por asi decirlo, es la mejor de todas, cuando era joven, ese aspecto de weón loco, un puto genio hasta el dia de hoy, no hay proyecto de este wn que no me guste, es una genialidad, estas interpretaciones que hacía ene sos tiempos, me vuela la cabeza, pensar que en ese momento, en el festival, yo tenia 4 años, un pendejito, que iba a saber de musica yo, más grande cuando aprendi de musica, me hcie adicto a Patton, especialmente a FNM, cuando se reunieron en el 2009, yo era el weon mas feliz del mundo, ir a ese concierto me dejo loco, mi mejor concierto en la vida y ninguno sera mejor que ese, pa rematarla al siguiente año vuelven a venir, no me lo perdi, en esa oportunidad logre tirar una bandera, la cual Patton recogio y sacaron la foto oficial, luego cuando vino con Tomahawk, logré la fotaza que tengo en el perfil... Mike Patton, el puto genio de la mñusica!

    Toss up between this and the brixton performance.. both different deliveries yet both epic performances!!

      Think this one is better than brixton. Mike has a better vocals, haircut, and outfit!! Only brixton has a better audience.

Incluindo o grande Chuck e o SENSACIONAL Jim Martin!
