Haha, +1 for your bravery but I didn't want to risk our oven. Off camera I heated up the exhaust and left it in front of the fire for a few days, didn't want to teach bad practice ;)
Hi Daniel Looks like you did a great job considering the state of the exhaust when you started. I’m learning from your patient approach to maintenance. I’m no mechanic, but to fly a Paramotor you have to learn some basic skills. I’m finding your videos very helpful. Thanks buddy 😀👍
Thank you, It's far from being a professional job but it restores it enough to make it last a bit longer. Painting is by far the worst job for me, i'd rather be working on the mechanical side of things. I've rebuilt a few motorbikes and plenty of maintenance on cars i've owned over the years however, it's relieving having my engine sat on a bench in front of you ranger that crawling around on stones for an oil change haha! If there's any specific videos you're after i'll see what I can do to help :)
Hey man, how’ve you been? Not seen you around here for a while. Yea the head and block are the next big job. There’s a few bit to polish after that then the cage needs a bit of attention. Should look nice once it’s done
Not as bad as you'd think. The Solo 210 was a very common engine in it's day and I believe parts are still produced. Dan Burton is a UK Fresh Breeze dealer who got me a piston kit for the rebuild. I'm pretty sure i've seen several others on the facebook marketplace advertising they have spare parts.
I always put vht painted items in our oven for curing, works a treat. Works better when she’s out the house too. 👍🏻

You can sand the rust off and coat it with black primer
Looks a lot better. But now the head looks dirty in comparison lol
