The main difference I saw was mentally. Remember your quest for the open practice Pete and keep your head up and in it, you make so many less mistakes when your relaxed and having fun!
Lol! I thought my golf game was decent, then I watched a PGA tournament in person and these guys are light years better than me. Matt Wallace is a cool dude. Hopefully he has a great 2021 season!
You and Rick Shields are amazing at what u do !!!!! I am a Cuban refugee living in Miami and Just wanted to thank you guys for what u do for all golfers 🏌️♂️
Well this was a great video and really nice of Matt to join you and give us an insight of how he approaches each shot. This has shown the course in such a different light in terms of how dense the rough is and also how perfectly the ball needs to be hit to have any form of control and stop on the greens. Finally just how easily Matt swings and in control of the shot he is.
Your content is absolutely 🔥 at the minute Pete! Keeping us entertained and providing the golf fix during lockdown! Thanks mate 👍🏼 hope you’re keeping well
#peteandmsttfortheRyderCup. Still rocking the Omega I see. I think they'll let you keep it Pete. I mean taking it back during the pandemic would be risky, 😉
That was the best piece on golf I have seen for ages.the difference between a top pro and a very good golfer is the preparation for each shot half the time I had no idea what Matt was talking about.
Pete, your content just gets better and better, I love it when you play with such lovely pros, gents and the drooling lady professional golfers. Loads a great moments..oh boy the zip wire was so funny.. Your a great bloke..ps you did out drive him...oh yes we noticed that 🐅..take care and thankyou.
You really need to get Matt back on the channel; great player and a proper nice bloke. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this vlog and Matt's chip in was sensational to see. Cheers
That was another class video Pete. Some great access out there in Dubai - well deserved. JUST BE MORE CONFIDENT IN YOUR GAME when playing with the pros! Keep up the great work!
Fun video. It is amazing the amount of difference between us weekend warriors and pros, and then again between pros and the best pros. This game is not easy.
Great one. Thanks to both of you cause we don't see it everyday. Obviously the difference is that the pros are so much more consistent. It is all deserved cause of the amount of work engaged. Matt's swing is so in control, smooth, balanced, very impressive and well shot by you Peter :) You could have shared or even win if you were on a A game moment on that 3 holes, but for the next kind of videos maybe. It is a shame for your three puts. The rest was good :) Enjoyed it!
I actually thought Pete was sitting on a chair in front of the large watch. It took me a second to realize he was just squatting. Love these videos, keep them up!
Brilliant again 👏. The biggest difference must be the mental/confidence side of things......followed by putting! Those types of greens must be totally different to what non tour players play on. You've got to be happy with how you were striking though surely - especially at the last over water!
@@geoman9324 I would have thought 180+ would be a difference. I think Pete would hold his own from 100.....would be interesting if he could test the theory over a few weeks of regular rounds with one of them. If only eh?
@@geoman9324 actually, that's not true i don't think. i think it's a bit of everything personally. but i read a great article once on the difference between a tour pro and an excellent amateur and it's actually mainly the long game. basically, tour pro's are playing on very long golf courses usually with pretty tight fairways. they bomb it long and straight off the tee. most non tour pro's are more crooked and shorter. makes a huge difference.
@@ronoccc your looking at the top of the tree 1%. The average tour pro gets it around 250 metres and many hackers can as well. The problem is the pro does it 9.5/10 and the hacker maybe 4 to 5. The short game though is where the pro comes into there own. There yardage is exceptional can play off all lies bunkers and can read greens at a high level. Generally though it comes down to the fact that they are able to practise hours a day when a hacker cannot. I’m quite positive you can take a high handicapper and make them nearly a scratch player or at least low handicap in a year if they worked At it every day for 5 to 6 hours. It is a sport of discipline and technique that can be learned.
I’ve been off 1 just crept up to 2. Top 10 player in the world could easily beat me by 12 shots on a top golf course . So I’d say their handicaps are +10 or even lower. It’s hard for me to knock a dozen shots of my handicap when basically I can hit 250 yard driver . They are so good.
Loving these videos Pete Showing us these great golfers in a different light than the super serious attitude they have in comps... brilliant how Matt kept it fun and was helping you out with advice whilst still showing his competitive side that keeps him where he is in golf 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I wonder what the results and difference would be between a PGA/European Tour player, PGA Vlogger (Social Media Influencer} and an out and out amateur mid handicap player like me. Love the video
Really loving the content this week Pete. Getting the pro's on the channel has been epic. Keep it up! And that was a decent showing, don't be too hard on yourself 😉
Great video as always Mr Finch really enjoying seeing how you get on against the tour players makes us normal golfers realise how good they really are 😁
Your videos never disappoint, always make me laugh!! Matt is such a lovely bloke, love hearing about all the work the tour pros put in working out distances from rough and semi as to what club to hit and how hard to swing it, brilliant insight, sorry you didn't win this one Pete
Matt seemed like such a normal bloke. Makes life so much easier playing from the short stuff. Look at the difference between your chip and his on the second and the approach shots at the last. Hit those fairways.
Been waiting for this! Glad to see you keeping up with the pros Pete! Ever heard of Miura irons? Love the vids, can’t wait for more!!! #peteandmattfortherydercup
Matt was indeed awesome, he's a natural on camera. Would love to see more of him on the channel. Nice Aquaterra by the way Pete, did they let you keep it?
Great video, you have got a dream job, playing against some of the best players in the world, to be fair you’s seemed like 2 mates having a few holes & a bit banter, exactly how golf’s supposed to be. 👏👏👏👏
Huge thank you for watching everyone, how awesome was Matt? We’ll get him back on the channel soon
Enjoyed that!
How did you not put #content as one of the tags???
what an absolute legend
Class Pete! What a top bloke! 4 ball with two lucky subscribers? 😜 come on don’t ignore me!! You know you want to?!? 😂😂
You knocked your own confidence. How well you strike the ball, I had you down for a win. Next time. Love the content still 😄😄

Believe Me-Peter is not a nice person!!!
Haha.
much more likable than the bearded guy, rick shields
Pete are we going to talk about the Ping driver in the bag?? I like it!
We will soon
Glad someone else noticed!
Brilliant video. Matt seems so lovely and has a great sense of humour.
Brilliant video this! Matt seems so down to earth, such a dry sense of humour 😂
The main difference I saw was mentally.
Remember your quest for the open practice Pete and keep your head up and in it, you make so many less mistakes when your relaxed and having fun!
Just pretend you’re playing Rick and Fryer and you’ll be fine!
Lol! I thought my golf game was decent, then I watched a PGA tournament in person and these guys are light years better than me. Matt Wallace is a cool dude. Hopefully he has a great 2021 season!

Matt is one of the most natural personalities in front of the camera of all golfers, he’s always class in these videos
Top bloke. Great banter. Super comfortable chatting in front of camera. Definitely get him back on the channel
What a great bloke. So happy to chat and give advice.
What a brilliant person Matt Wallace seems...genuine without uneccessary airs or graces...exactly what the game of golf needs. Thanks Pete.
the timing of this video and the pick and place comment with P. Reed today is golden.

Matt Wallace, what a great guy. Crazy level of analysis for every shot.
Great video Pete as per. I watched a Ping vid with Matt Wallace and Ian Wright a while back and he is as down to earth then as he was now.
Love this video, great fun to see the difference between a Tour Pro versus a PGA golf coach like your self Peter.
That was another class video Pete. Some great access out there in Dubai - well deserved.

PETER - your on course natural flowing videos are the best, keep them coming
Most enjoyable to get to know top players like Matt and Henrik. Thanks Pete. Keep it up!
Matt and Martin Kaymer must be the two nicest players on the tour. Great video Pete! Thank you.
I actually thought Pete was sitting on a chair in front of the large watch. It took me a second to realize he was just squatting. Love these videos, keep them up!
You've been knocking it out of the park with this series of videos Mr Finch.
I like Matts mental attitude. I’m learning NLP (neuro linguistic programming) for life and golf.
Great vid 👍😊
There's some great chemistry between you too, Matt seems a great sport! Get him back on the channel!! Superb vid Pete 👍
I haven't been watching mr Finch's channel for quite some time, mainly since I found it a bit boring, but I really enjoyed this. Well done!!!
I liked this, it really tickled me, just showed how good the professionals really are! Awesome content mate 👌🏼
This was hysterical. Great video Pete. Love the banter
Brilliant again 👏.

Matt Wallace, what a guy. Don’t back off Pete, positives thoughts lead to positive outcomes.
I wonder what the results and difference would be between a PGA/European Tour player, PGA Vlogger (Social Media Influencer} and an out and out amateur mid handicap player like me. Love the video
Hey Pete what driver have you got in the bag???
Smashing it man. What I'd give to be able to smack a golf club right now. You and No Laying Up are just about getting me through this 3rd lockdown.
Tough competition for you there Peter... keep the great video's coming just what you need in lockdown England
Great video, we all see matt glad its only 3 holes to stop that Pete Finch charge..
Quality video Pete - nice of you to let him win! Great sportsmanship
Nice of Matt to take time out of his schedule. It really does magnify the difference between good players and top pros.
Really loving the content this week Pete. Getting the pro's on the channel has been epic. Keep it up! And that was a decent showing, don't be too hard on yourself 😉
Great video. I like the banter when you are with the touring pros.
Nice weather looking for the nice weather here in the west coast
What an absolute gentleman, hope he makes the ryder cup team, great guy, great player 👏 👍
Great stuff. Pete's putter looks like it started life on the set of TV's "Rawhide", namely a branding iron. Matt seems like a great guy , good luck.
Great video as always Mr Finch really enjoying seeing how you get on against the tour players makes us normal golfers realise how good they really are 😁

Can we get him back for a few more videos?? A stellar gent!
How nice of a guy is Mr Wallace!!
Nice little video. Matt is a top guy. Would love to see him make the team.
Fun and Informative as always. An unrelated question... Why are the pros straddling their putting path these days? Any proof it gives a better line.
Just reiterates to us mere mortals that its approach shots, short game and putting that we all need to work on
What a thoroughly decent lad Matt seems! I'd watch him play again in a heartbeat!
Brilliant content once a again Pete..Matt was really cool too..enjoyed this👍⛳️🇬🇧
