I'm new to DaVinci so it took me a minute to figure out where displace actually was and I found it under Warp in the free version, but you did a really great job going through this and it has taken my video, where we had some video and some stills, to another level so the stills didn't make the video look more like a slide show presentation! Can you make another video for doing this with a new picture and go from the very first step to the last step. That means from putting a still picture on the edit page and go from there. Hey, this got 4.5K views, so why not? Thanks!!!
Hello, thank you for your tutorials. it was very helpful. I have a Question. I tried it out and it works pretty well on short timelines. On longer Timelines 2-3 minutes you cant really see the effect anymore. Is there a Method to loop it or to expend? thank you!
Make sure you are viewing the right node. Also increase the refraction strength. If still nothing shows up the check the inputs on the displace node. You might have to switched it by accident.

These effects are generally meant for clips that have short duration.
That's a really great effect. But it looks like this is only a one-time clip.
How would I make a loopable animation out of this?

1: are you using the free or paid version of Davinci resolve?
2: is QGIS a free to use plugin?
1) I'm using free version in this video.
2) Qgis is not a plugin. It is a seperate application. Yes it is free and open source
