    Anyone who owns a leaf has nothing but praise for it. Say no more. I think it's an amazing car to drive, has plenty of power and it's practically free to run meaning on shorter trips you can drive like you stole it without a care in the world lol.

    I just like to say that whoever picked the music is great! Up until the 2 minute mark, the soundtrack really suited the LEAF and it reminded me much of the GT series, namely GT3 and especially GT4. Just a new, chill, Japanese vibe to it.

    Just found your channel, and think the photography and review was really well done. Personally I love the Leaf and hope Nissan do well from it as it is the best electric car, well apart from the Tesla Model X..

    We charge our leaf with three pin plug Granny charging cable, at 9miles/hour rate, is great for Popping round town. So 2.9Kw/hr at 16p/Kwh To charge 20% to 80%
    14.4Kwx 16p=£2.30 for 50 miles that =🤣👍
    Soon to get Octopus smart meter with cheaper night charging rate. Oh and if you own a Leaf congratulations it is going up in value, due to high demand for second hand Ev's

    Wait for the 2016 modell or go for the GM bolt instead.

    Leaf needs a small petrol generator similar to the i3

    • @DashDrones
      @DashDrones 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonathon Churchill That's an option on the i3

    £2 per hour for an 8-hour charge? Really? That means £16 of electricity to drive, if careful, 100 miles. I just can't see how that's possible; it's five times more than I pay for diesel and I don't have to lease a battery! I genuinely hope the information is incorrect because now that I drive a lot less, I'd love to get an electric car.

      That guy is poorly educated on electric vehicles and the video is out of date. I own a 2022 Leaf and I do over 1200 miles per month and my Leaf is so far after 7 months of ownership has saved me £1400 in fuel costs compared to my Toyota Auris Hybrid which was averaging 53mpg.

      @@SandyMorris-n3i Since leaving my original comment I've bought an electric Renault Twingo and it's brilliant! I only use it for around 400 miles/month but it's incredibly cheap to ruin, silent and easily holds its own even in economy mode (which reduces power for 82 HP to 60 HP but boosts the range around 50%). A full charge at home costs about E1.80, so on a cost comparison with a petrol car it's like getting around 140-150 MPG

    I like the ideal behind electric cars but until they get 300 miles+ on a full charge they'll never catch on

    I like this car a lot. My present job involves a 170 mile-per-day round-trip to work and back. This is not yet viable with an electric car. But as battery range improves (and given that my next job will most likely be closer to my home) the Nissan Leaf will become a very attractive proposition.

      Did you ever end up getting one?

      @@joshuak1275 I am still driving an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) car. Here in the UK electric cars are still way too expensive. I am awaiting for the time when affordable electric cars appear on the market.

    2016 Leaf will have 250 miles

    • @toyotaprius79
      @toyotaprius79 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      hyylo On the Japanese test cycle, but the next year should get the famed 30kWh battery pack. That should give a realistic range of upwards of 110 miles for someone who would get around less than 80 miles per charge.

    • @ValsCraftasticWorld

      I would expect 95 to 105 miles of range at 65 mile per hour freeway speeds on a full charge on the 2016 model Nissan Leaf. Nissan recommends charging the battery to only 80 percent to lengthen the life of the batteries. That would lower range to about 80 miles. At lower speeds you would get more range. 80 miles of range is really good in my opinion.

    The only viable electric car on sale is the Tesla Model S but at the moment the price is still extortionate

    I am sorry but my 7 year old Focus costs just 7p per mile, only £30 per year to tax and does around £720 miles on a tank of Diesel....No Brainer, my next car will be a newer Focus.
